Anyone reading Forsythe's Perfect Body Diet?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has been reading Cassandra Forsythe's new book _Women's Health Perfect Body Diet_. If so, what you do think about it? I'm curious to see what other people's thoughts are!:)

I thought that she gives a lot of useful information about diet and nutrition, and I like how she sets up two separate eating plans. What worries me, though, are some of the macronutrient breakdowns that she gives. I'm supposed to follow the Greens and Berries diet, which means that I should be eating 20-30% carbs, 30-35% protein, and 34-45% fat. I'm OK with the protein ratio, but doesn't that fat ratio seem extremely high? I've never before seen a fat ratio that high.

The recipes in the back look good, although I haven't tried any of them out yet. I'm hoping to try a smoothie recipe today, maybe one that calls for cottage cheese, which I've never tried in a smoothie before. We'll see how it goes!;-)

Yes, that seems like a high fat ratio, but studies are now showing that a high healthy fat ration in certain people actually encourage and assist in fat loss. Especially in those who are carb sensitive. If you are supposed to follow the Greens and Berries, then you are carb sensitive and you need to replace the calories from carbohydrates with the fats.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for confirming this! It seemed a little high to me, but it's good to know that the research supports it.
