Anyone on the "Natural Planning" birth control??

note on seasonale

Seasonale isn't really anything new, they just packaged pills that have been around for ages to market them differently. They are making it easier (and now an approved way) for patients to "tricycle", something many clinicians have been doing off label for years. It's just a monophasic pill that you take 84 active days and 7 inert/placebo pills. Nothing new, safe as the regular pill. I use this quite a bit with women who have "menstrual migraines", heavy bleeding, mood swings, etc.

BTW-I also would recommend checking out the Creighton NFP information, it really is effective but you do have to work at it-both of you!!! I find that usually the woman is very receptive, but depending on her partner, it may not be a great fit. But it is a wonderful alternative that I really recommend!

RE: NFP

I'm just using the plain ole pill (orthetricyclen). No condoms. has worked for over 11 years now. We would like to try to start a family later this year - is there something I should know about the pill that may cause problems? How long doI ahve to be off before we can really get started?

RE: NFP

if you are just on the pill then you should be able to get pregnant quite soon after you stop taking it. it doesn't take long to get out of your system, unlike how depo can for example.
