Hi,
My family and I are thinking about moving to PA preferably near a city i.e Allentown, Harrisburg, Philly, etc because my husband is an attorney and he wants to work in a city BUT the catch is we want to live in a sort of a farming/Amish area. The big problem is my husband doesn't want to drive an hour to work and an hour back home. My mom said Leona and Lewisburg are nice towns. Which towns are the best for raising a family and best school system? I have 2 kids age 3 and 1. I prefer for my kids to go to a private school. Any help and advice would so greatly be appreciated! :7

I live in Southeastern York County (Delta, to be specific). There are "crowded suburbs" pretty local to us. York City has several law firms, as does Bel Air, MD (both within 30 minutes). Harrisburg is about 45 minutes from us. Fawn Grove, Stewartstown, Brogue, Felton, and Airville are slightly closer to York/Harrisburg and have an Amish community in them. Lancaster County has lots of rural/Amish areas within a reasonable commute of Lancaster City. I think the nearer the larger cities (like those mentioned) it will be difficult to go rural within an hours drive, although I'm not that familar with most. As for school districts, I have no info at all on private or public schools as we avoid them (we homeschool). If you have ?? relating specifically to York County I might be able to help. We have an awesome homeschooling community!
Blessings,
Denise
