Anyone interested in a postpartum weight loss check-in?

Well, it's been 4 weeks since Brooke was born and I'm consistent with my workouts but my diet is another story. I am constantly giving in to my cravings and subconsiously I think that since I just had a baby I'm entitled to eat what I want since noone expects me to lose the weight yet (Sad reasoning I know).

I haven't lost hardly any weight in 2 weeks and I have 20-23 pounds left to lose. I think it would be much easier to keep motivated to eat better if I felt like I'm accountable to someone other than myself.

I hope someone else is interested.

Wendy I am definately interested. I started WW today and as soon as Gannon takes his nap I'm going upstairs to do Powerhour. I would like to lose 30lbs (I gained some weight during the holidays last year and got pregnant in December). And with the holidays quickly approaching, I need some motivation.

I'm breastfeeding so I am always hungry. I don't think that I was making the best choices either so I"m hoping that with WW I do a bit better.

Do you want to check in every week?

Count me in, too! I'm 4 weeks post partum, too, and also have 20 pounds to lose. Like Dana, I'm starting the Weight Watcher's nursing women program today. I've been exercising for the past 2 weeks, and that part of the equation is under control. I'm having a very hard time eating clean, so having a check-in would be great! How do you want to do this? Report in daily or weekly? Do we report our exercise as well, or just stick with our food?

How's the nursing going, Wendy? Getting any better?

Sandra

Ideally, I would like a daily check-in because I think it would help motivate me more than a weekly check-in. I'm just not sure as far as time goes-somedays it is really hard to find the time to get on the forums and I know it will only be worse once I go back to work. I also would like to report exercise and maybe just an overview of how my "diet" is going.

I think I'm going to check out the WW program you both are talking about.

Sandra, as far as nursing, it is going alright. I am pumping more just to give my nipples a break and it actually seems to be working much better for us. Brooke likes to take at least 45 minutes to nurse but if I pump and give her a bottle it is much smoother because we can go and do things and not worry about if it's time for her to eat soon. For example, 2 weeks ago we went to my DH's football game and a 30 minute drive took over 2 hours because we had to stop twice so I could nurse her. This past week I pumped before we left and gave it to her while she was in her carseat so we didn't have to stop. When we have the time and I'm not too sore I do nurse her.

I'd like to check in too. I don't own a scale so I don't know how much weight I have to lose. I just know many old clothes still don't fit! x(

I was in the rotations forum and saw the August Rotation. Well, I did the first day yesterday. I am so sore and fatigued, that I don't know if I have the motivation to go on. We'll see... it looks tough. One of the days, Cathe assigns Boot Camp 2 times in a row. Is that nuts or what. I don't think I have the TIME let alone the ENERGY!

Anyway, I am focused on workouts to get the weight off. I'm not so good at clean eating lately. But maybe with your help I can improve. I am nursing too. That kind of encourages me to eat whatever is around, because look out, when I'm hungry, I'M HUNGRY! :+
