Anyone interested in a mom of toddlers check in?

I miss checking in here, but have no intention of trying for another or getting pregnant again but I see here other moms of toddler/terible two's here! It is scary to think that my baby is almost 2, just a few months away!
 
Hi Elyse. I'm game. :) We're taking a break from TTC and I too miss the check-ins.

I'm in. We're taking break too. It has been almost 1 1/2 years of TTC and I'm feeling my inner biatch creepin' out.

I thought we could use this check in to discuss workouts, and stress/ joy around kids.

Many of you know me, since I got pregnant 5 years ago and never could leave the forum. I have 2 girls ages 20 months and 4. 6 months. I am at prepregnancy weight but weight goes up and down a few pounds. I am trying to do my workouts with the kids around since Ashley my youngest gave up am naps. This week we have a contractor finishing our basement which is where I workout so have to do lower impact, non space hog workouts in my family room. I have brought up a few firms.

Jennsmom-how old are you girls?
Mel-sorry it was so hard to TTC this time after I know it tok no effort with #1-3.
Autumn-great to see you again , sorry you are having a tough time TTC, I forget how old are your kids now?
Morris- scary to think in another few months Finn wil be 2 and have a baby brother!
 
Shopaholic, I was able to follow your second pregnancy, since I was
not on the forum with your first. Hard to believe Ashley is almost
two! Wow, that time moved quickly.

Jennifer just turned two. My baby is not quite 6 months old.
We have alot of laughs now that Jenny is talking in sentences.
She is now telling tales/little fibs on occassion which are
pretty entertaining. Jennifer was an intense baby only sleeping through the night maybe a few nights a week. I was concerend
Taylor might have her sisters sleeping habits, so far so good.

Morris- So wonderful you are pregnant. I was off line on maternity
leave approx 5 months ago and missed the happy news. I hope your
feeling well but from I gather you're extremly fit!!

Mel- Sorry you put your plans on hold. I know you wanted another
child. I belive your son is the same age as Jennifer.
 
I'll join you. Gus is 2 years, 3 months. Melanie, isn't your son just a month younger? Morris, I think you asked- his name is short for Joseph Augustin.

My other kids are Kay 7 and Audrey 5. We're expecting another on 7-4.

Gus is an extreme child. He is the funniest, sweetest, and brightest boy, but also stubborn and impish. He's totally into the Wiggles, legos, and Spiderman. Because he has two sisters, he frequently carries a purse and wears high heels.

We're heading to the gym now so I can run on the treadmill.

Suzanne- Ashley will be 2 in May already. Time flies! She has begun temper tantrums but is alot more advanced than Alexis was at the age, trying to keep up with big sister. She loves Elmo !
 
Hi ladies. Thanks for all the TTC words. I am really okay with this. Like I've mentioned before, God is in control and I wouldn't want to wish anything outside His will. Looking back on my 12 + months of TTC, I'm not sure if I could have even handled another pg right now! God really knows whats best for me, and His promise is to never give us more than we can handle.... So, if at some point he thinks we're ready, I'm sure he'll open up my womb. ;)

Anywho, we have three boys. Jory's 13 (which is a tough age), Justin is 4 years and 1 month (he is our spitfire), and baby Jadon is 2 years and 3 months (he is our baby).

Current life challenges include a recent 300 mile move that has left us with 2 mortgages (our other home is on the market) and my DH has been fighting to get his vision back in his right eye (after a painful viral infection attacked him about 3 years ago).

Although life has it's challenges (who's life isn't challenging? ) we have numerous blessings. And I find comfort in God, my cyberfriends, friends and family, shoes and bags,...and of course exercise videos!!!!!

There, now you all know who I am!!! I'm excited to get to know some new ladies, and to re-kindle some old time favorites. ;)

suzanne, it must be crazy at times to have 2 so close together. is jenny still in her crib? ds#1 (finn) did not sleep thru the night until he was 11.5 months old. i am hoping this little guy will be a better sleeper sooner..... it is hard to think about going back to that little sleep again, especially as right now i feel like i could sleep 10hrs a night if possible. what do you like to do for workouts?

kristan, finn's middle name is joseph. i love that you call your guy "gus" . it is one of the names on my long list for little boys. i told dh he needs a few names on a list before he gets back from this trip.

melanie, how are things these days? i hope the housing market starts to pick up soon for you. i just ordered the weighted atlus gloves and am so excited to try them next week. i had hoped to have them by today, but alas, not, so i will hold off on kbing a few more days.
 
Sleep through the night? I"m still waiting for my FOUR year old to sleep through the night! Baby Jadon slept through the night THREE times,...so there may be hope. ;) My boys would rather cuddle up in our bed,...we don't really mind as long as we get some US time before they crawl in. :D :D

Morris, I hope you like the gloves as much as I do. I've already worn out one pair, and am on my 2nd!

Shopaholic, is your little one only 4 months old? That doesn't sound right.

I too like the name Gus.

Cardio Fusion

You ladies do cardio fusion lately? Did it yesterday,...I never did do it very much,...I think I was pg with Jadon when they came out. Anyways, it kicked my butt! So much fun. Maybe I'll do it again tomorrow. ;)

Morris,

Jennifer is still in her crib(she turned two in December)
The crib has moved away from her wall since she took to ripping off
the wall paper and princess boarder. When asked what happened she
will say, " Daddy did it." I am surprised she has not tried to
climb out yet..........

Tough week. Baby Taylor has pnemonia. So sad. She is recovering
but then Jennifer developed a 105.1 temp Saturday night. It was
quite scary and sudden We took her to ER after cooling her in the
tub. They diagnosed as a viral illness. I was hestitant because they
didn't work her up(no blood taken or XRAY)No improvement over the
weekend so back to the doctor yesterday. I had to more or less insist
they take her urine, blood, etc. Initially they said all was negative
which should have made me feel better but we know our kids. Jennifer
was still not herself. I received a call this morning from her
doctor. The radiologist did find fluid in her lungs. She will start
antibiotic. Its so sad to see your kids ill. Horrible. My husband
was cranky and snapped often at me which was no fun.
Hoping we turned a corner to recovery!
