I love nascar and have never seen anyone discuss racing here. I was just curious if anyone watches it and who they pull for. I am a Kasey Kahne fan! Go NO#9!!

I pull for Bobby Labonte #43 Kim. I haven't watched many races tho. I try to keep up with it tho.

I posted to you on the Violets thread when you get a chance.

Good luck in the race today. I'll be watching my Steelers hopefully bust the Bengals butts!! :7

I'm not really a NSCAR fan but live with 3 of 4 DSs who are NASCAR crazy...especially my youngest who is 8 yo. He's a Tony Stewart fan and the other 2 are Jimmy Johnson fans. I throw in a cheer on occasion for Kasey #9 just to get the boys revved up.

My 8 yo is very unhappy that Tony Stewart is out of the points race. So he's cheering for Jimmy Johnson to lose just to spite his brothers.

I'm a NASCAR fan. I also like Kasey Kayne and Dale Earnhart Jr, plus many others. We live a couple of hours from the Texas track in Ft. Worth, and my husband and I have been attending races for the last couple of years. I was really disappointed today when Kasey got wrecked. That is really going to hurt his chances for the championship.
 
I can't get into it much, but funny you mentioned here, my hubby is in Vegas this weekend watching a NASCAR truck race. I didn't even know there was such a thing until now, did you?

Another one here who's boys loooove NASCAR. My 5 year old loves Jimmy Johnson and my 2 year old is on his way. They love NASCAR so much I even got a house key made with the NASCAR logo all over it. Soon (or at least in a few years) NASCAR will be our favorite sport!

As you can see by my lvnascar, I LOVE watching nascar. My favorite driver is the #17 Matt Kenseth. Of course he is a Wisconsin driver, and I have watched him racing since he was a teenager. Also watched his Crew Chief drive around the 1/4 mile track. My DH and I have been to Bristol, Charlotte, Arizona, and the Brickyard. All great races, but Bristol was my favorite. Go 17!!!

well, I'm getting it bad. I have checks with racing pictures on them. I just received 3 t-shirts last week that I ordered from the Nascar website which, by the way, fit great. I'm thinking of ordring some more and they were really not expensive. I'm also thinking of ordering 2 throws, Kasey Kahne and Dale Earnhart Jr, to put over the couch and loveseat. I'm into it more than my husband. He just laughs at me. He said he's expecting to come home from work one day and the bedroom and bathroom all be remodeled with NASCAR logo items. Hmmm, Kasey Kahne's picture in the bedroom might make things a little more interesting. ;-)

Came back to add that I did know about the truck series, but I also don't watch it much. It is pretty good live, however. I started out just watching the Nextel Cup, but now I watch the Busch Series also.
 
Thanks for posting this question. I've been wondering this myself for a long time. I'm a super big Nascar fan but my driver retired last year (yeah, I was a Rusty fan) so I've been pulling for Bobby Labonte because I think it would be great to see that #43 back in victory lane again. The race was great yesterday & very exciting & I was thrilled to see Jeff Burton in victory lane again after so long & lead the championship too, no less! My husband & I also have season tickets to BRISTOL (yeah!) & we also try to attend at least one other race each year too. We're thinking Martinsville this year. So you are not alone in your love of Nascar & it looks like it's going to be an exciting Chase again this year!

P.S. - I was also sorry to see the Steelers lose yesterday. Hopefully, they will pull their act together soon!
 
Yea!! Mark Martin!!! Huge #6 fans here. My soon-to-be 2 year old son calls him 'Markin Markin' and would wear his 'Markin racecar' shirt every day if he could.

Not sure who we'll root for next year when he's not running a full Cup schedule. Maybe Kansas boy Clint Bowyer. :)
 
Yeah it is great to have some female nascar fans! I really hate how Kasey will have no shot to win the cup! I just can hope he can make the top five. He really fought to get into the chase! And yes a picture of Kasey in the bedroom would be mighty interesting!}( Oh, let me stop! I can say that I was pleased the Jeff Burton won the race. It has been a long time for him! It was so touching to see his wife crying, hoping he would win the race.

I also enjoy nascar. My driver is Kyle Petty.

We usually get together with friends 2-3 times during the season for a party (Daytona party, sometime in July, and usually the end of the year last Saturday race). Lots of female fans around me.
