Anyone heard of Argireline?

OK so I don't feel like working today & in my neverending search for eternal youth I came upon this. I did a little research & found only good things about it. I'm wondering if anyone's tried it? If yes, what do you think?

Hi Maximus,

I used to use one of Victoria Principal's skin care lines. The eye gels and creams contained Argeline. I used the products for about a year and half and although, I liked them - clean feeling, no heaviness, I really didn't see any noticable results. Granted, I don't have a bunch of wrinkles, but I'm 37 and do have some lines or "crinkles" under my eyes that drive me crazy. I didn't think the products were worth the cost. I went back to using the Oil of Olay products, Retin A, and occasionally I use some Jojoba oil at night for extra moisture. I love that stuff. I also noticed that wearing less makeup, works to reduce the appearance of the "crinkles". I think sometimes the makeup gets into the fine lines an makes them stand out!

Like you, I'm always on the hunt for that product that will do the trick, so if you find it let me know.

Hi Maximus,

I've heard of argireline through Victoria Principal as well but have never tried her products. If you are interested in anti-aging, you may want to check out Derma E and Skin Biology products. Derma E has two specific ingredients- astazanthin and pycnogenol, that address aging. I have only tried eye gel w/ pycnogenol, and I do like it very much. I purchased some Skin Biology products this week- they are based on copper peptide research.

HTH!!!

Editted to add- just read your post on "Ask Cathe"- you so don't look 37 just from the pics I;ve seen, so whatever you are doing is working lol! Sometimes I don't know exactly what a number should look like, but you look good!

Hi Maximus and Alexandra. I've tried Victoria Principal's Gentle Exfoliating Scrub and it didn't do anything special for my skin. It was like any other exfoliating scrub I've tried in the past. After trying a lot of supposedly effective lines out there (including Dr. Perricone and others) I went back to Olay and L'Oreal. I also use a home microdermabrasion kit (Dermanew).

While wearing less make up is a good way to make the crinkles less noticeable sometimes for people with certain skin conditions that is not possible. For those times I recommend a good primer. I swear by Laura Geller's spackle primer. I love that stuff. Moisturizer, spackle, makeup. It always works.
