Anyone else have dizzy days?

It seems this happens to me on a regular basis on the weekends. I sleep late, and then I'm too dizzy to workout. I have to get up slowly from bed and from a chair or else I feel dizzy. I have a propensity for low blood pressure, but I usually eat salty items and the dizziness persists, which I don't understand. It's 2:30 in the afternoon, I've been awake now for more than 3 hours, and I'm still too dizzy to workout. It's SOOOOO annoying. x( Does anyone else suffer from dizziness?

Nancy,
You should get that checked out that isn't normal. I have low B/P and I get dizzy some -usually after sitting for a while and standing up it takes a few secs to recover and then I'm fine. What you are describing doesn't sound b/p related. Please see your healthcare provider and let us know. Hope you feel better. Another thought- you by chance aren't overtraining are you??

First of all - see your Doctor for advice

Could be overtraining or your diet....."too" strict and you have low sugar, but I hate quessing anything medical when Im not trained to do so

Please check it out - could be something.....could be nothing

I get light headed and dizzy when I dont drink enough water during and after a long workout, when I am getting or I am sick (due to my semi-circular canals filling with fluidthen I take a decongestant), low blood sugar (ie havent eaten enough during the day), or if I drink caffeinated drinks and alcohol. Oh, and if I hold my breath during weight lifting I get a little dizzy sometimes but I have really concentrated on not holding my breath during exercize and this doesnt happen anymore.

Hope this helps.

Nancy,

I do get dizzy spells from time to time. Two years ago I was diagnosed with borderline diabetes. I get them more frequently when I'm eating a lot of carbs and sugar. Drinking orange juice early morning helped me quite a bit but didn't get rid of them. I started using Cell Tech (you can check this product on their website or go to muscletech.com) and haven't had one since, well only when I stop taking the product. This is what has work for me but I do agree that you should go to your doctor.

Thanks for your comments ladies. I'm better now. I just worked out vigorously and had lots of energy! I probably just slept so much that it took me several hours to shake it off. The problem may be that on the weekends I try to make up for all the sleep I missed during the week, so I do these marathon sleeps on Friday and Saturday nights that leave me in a groggy, dizzy state for half the day. But now the energy train has pulled into the station and I'm making up for lost time!!:D

I get vertigo occassionally. It started a few months after I had my daughter. It was caused by my low-thyroid, so that's one way I know my thyroid meds need to be increased. If the vertigo comes back, thyroid is too low. It's an awful feeling. Like drunk bed-spins. One time when my daughter was still an infant, I was trapped upstairs with her because no one else was home and I was afraid to chance walking down the stairs with her in my arms because I was so dizzy.

You should have the doctor check it out. Vertigo is really nothing to worry about most of the time. I have pills for it if it gets too annoying.

If this happens a lot Nancy, it doesn't sound like you are just sleeping too much. Or your blood pressure is low. It concerns me, if you don't mind my saying so.

I dont' know what it is, but if it continues, and if it were me, I would go to a good internist.

You're not blond, after all, you shouldn't be so dizzy!

Seriously, maybe you are posting too much. You should cut back. ;-)
