Anyone else get this crap?

I was just wondering if this was going to be a common thing.
I checked my e-mail yesterday and it the bulk section (which is basically where the junk mail goes) there was a e-mail from someone, saying that they saw my picture trail, thought I was hot and wanted to chat on MSN!
Ive never had this before so I am wondering is this the start of more garbage being e-mailed to me? Does anyone have problems like this with their picturetrail?

I have never had that happen Lori but I suppose it's a real possibility unless you turn the email icon off on this site so that no one can email you unless you GIVE them your email addy. I guess they could still PM you unless you turn that off too but that's not so bad as it's not your PERSONAL email address....That stinks cause the picture trails are so much fun! I'd hate for people to start ruining that by being obnoxious!!!x(

I never thought about that.I should do it.The other thing is I have 2 e-mail address's and it just went to my hotmail account and I get alot of junk there.I never go to picture trail unless I am uploading pics.Prehaps I will do that, when I get the time.

HI Lori,

I've never had a problem so far. Like Wendy said, I have my email option turned off on this board and have only given it out to a couple of people for a specific reason. I only use the PM option.

What freaked me out was I got an email from Picture trail showing how many times some of my Picture trail pics were looked at online??? The address I use for Picture Trail is not the same one I use here. But I am still in the dark as how people find your pics out there...I rarely check my junk mail, I just let it disappear......Carole

Well I just went into my picture trail and found a nice comment left for me. It was genuinely nice so I appreciated that. Didn't know I had comments in there. LOL! Was way back in November. Will have to check more often. I could not believe that I had over 36,000 views on my October pictures. Dang, I didn't think they were that good. LOL! Cleaning up my pictures today and will add some new ones I hope tomorrow. No email address of mine in there. Don't need to display that...tsk..tsk..tsk.

Carol, I get a weekly email from them that shows how many hits my picture trail has had. I think it's an indication of how many people from the Cathe boards visited your picture trail from the link you provide. I don't think anyone can access your albums directly from the picture trail website.

I'd say be careful. I was typing in a picture trail address and had gotten into who knows whose picture albums. I quickly got out of there. After that I was sure to put passwords on my albums. It's a one thing to share my photos with you ladies, but not just anyone. I like sharing my photos with long distant relatives. After hearing some of the stories my sister-in-law has told me with her job....I'm extra careful with the internet and my precious family pictures.

I have never gotten anything like that! Also, I do have it set up to PM me, however, I think if you "reply" to the PM, they see your e-mail address.

I, too, get a weekly update from picture trail letting me know how many hits my trail has and which pictures have the most hits. Everytime I get that update, i can't help but ask myself "Who are all these people looking at my trail"? The answer...lurkers. Some people are just more comfortable reading the forum and not participating in any discussion. I know I lurked for a short while.
