I've been power walking for a few weeks and am considering training for a 10k this spring. I'm not sure how to start scheduling my training, and what speed to aim for. I've been walking to tapes that push me to a 4.3-4.35 MPH, and I've done up to 4 miles at that pace. What sort of pace do I need to aim for in a race? specifically--- In a 5k? 10k? Half marathon? Marathon?
Any advice would be appreciated.
