I absolutely love Cathe, have practically all of her workouts....but was wondering....is anyone aware of any other fitness trainer/ dvd's avail.(cardio) for purchase that are as tough as Cathe? I actually feel guilty asking, but curious ....

thanks!

I've only done a few Amy Bento workouts, but the ones I have I find to be as tough, if not more so; Kickbox Surge and Advanced Step Challenge II. They both take a few times through to learn, but once you get them down pat, they're a blast. They always make it somewhere in my rotation at least once a month.

I just did Paul Katami's Burn and Build yesterday. Lordy, that's a toughie! It uses a light kettlebell and a high step but there is a modifier using a dumbell for all the moves too. Lean Hot Body is also really tough, by Patrick Goudeau. Both use weights to up the cardio factor though so there is also toning involved (in case you wanted to stay away from weights with your cardio).

I would have to say Bob Harper's Cardio Rev and Ultimate Cardio Body give Cathe a good run. Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism is a goodie too.

i would also second the amy bento workouts.....her cardio workouts have a little more of a learning curve than most of cathe's stuff, but once u get the choreography down they are soooooo fun and u get get a really good sweat out of them......... also amy dixon's breathless body.....and mindy mylrea's spinning dvds.....they are some toughies.....HTH:)

I have trouble straying from Cathe, but I do own a few Mindy Mylrea workouts and man is she tough. The production of her dvds is no where near Cathe's level though, but if you can get past that, her workouts really get my HR up and I burn a lot of calories (usually end up with an exercise-induced migraine, too, unfortunately).

I have to agree on Bob Harper workouts! Those are tough! I am doing his "Inside out Method" rotation (I am in my 2nd week) this month and it's kicking my butt. He is selling all this DVDs for only $5 each on his website, not bad;) Amy Bento and JM workouts are tough too.

A 3rd for Amy Bento. Also Tracey Staehle (www.fitbytracey.com) has some pretty good stuff too. Both are a bit more complex than Cathe, but both also have super-high intensity levels.

I really enjoy Goudeau's workouts, He's fun, has a great personality & excellent production, but he's more complex & has too many breaks during his teaching for me to burn enough cals.
