Any Ice Skaters?

Any other ics skating fans out there? I am certainly no figure skater but I do LOVE to ice skate. ( I can stay upright) We go to our lacoal rink but several yrs ago we started just ice skatingout on the pond behind our house. I do like it better, more peaceful. I find it very relaxing.
I admit those skates are not friendly on the feet after a while. I use figure skates but know that hockey skates are more comfortable. I have tried them but have come accustomed to the toe pic.

I took up figure skating at 25. I absolutely LOVED it. I had a serious back injury from a sit spin when I was 29 and it took me two years to be able to lift a 5 pound weight over my head again. I really miss skating, but I am too afraid of being hurt again to go back to it. I hope you get as much joy from skating as I did.
