Any 5am-ers out there?

ATTEMPT

Well my alarm clock went off at 3:45am (I even went to bed early by 8:00pm) I woke up but I couldnt get myself out of bed I kept thinking to myself okay If I do it now I'll have all afternoon and evening to myself especially since tonight The Biggest Loser is on and that's my favorite show. But I couldnt do it my bed felt sooooo goood and warm. I'll guess I'll try again tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get tired of hitting the snooze button at 3:45am and just eventually get up. Lol! Hey lulu just curious what time do you go to bed???
 
Hey maybe we should start a check in for the early birds. :)

I was doing really well for a while working out by 6am for an hour. Then middle school started and for some reason backing my workout up 1 hour has been difficult. On the days that I have got it done I have felt great but I can't seem to find a consistency. I have tried convincing myself I will workout when I get home from work and of course by then I just don't want to.

I was psyched to get back on track this week and yesterday again I fell off the wagon. My butt just wants to stay in bed.:mad: Then I beat myself up all day and feel guilty. My workouts are collecting dust, I'm feeling like pooh and defeated. I need a big kick in the arse. Such an unhealthy cycle. I hate it.:(

I admire all you early bird ladies. I want to be back there again.

I did it!!!!!

My alarm clock went off this morning 3:30am got up no problem came downstairs drank my protein shake with my strawberries packed my breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the day (my office has a fully equipped kitchen) and starting working out at 4:00am. Jumped in the shower by 5:00am out the door by 5:40(suppose to be 5:30) got to work a little late but feeling FANTASTIC. You guys where right....

Yeah!!!! I'm so happy for you and the best part about it is that it's done!!! I love that feeling. Now nothing can get in your way. :D

just try to remember this feeling b/c there will be some days where you have a mental battle with yourself to get out of bed. I had one this morning but i'm happy to report I won the match between me and my bed
 
I did again!!!!

This morning was same as yesterday. Yayyyyy! Only one problem my 3 year old daughter woke up at 3:40 because she wet her bed so I had to change her wash her up and change the sheets but glad to report that didnt not stop me. What I did notice was that yesterday when I finally got to bed around 8:30pm I couldnt really sleep well. I thought that I would pass out from being up so early but maybe I was wired I didnt sleep well last night. Hopefully tonight I'll sleep better. And yesterday I wasnt tired throught the day had lots of energy. Anyway ladies have a great day!!!

You're too cute. I'm so glad that you had two experiences in a row like this. I agree with the pp that there will be some days that you just don't want to do it. My DH wanted to do yoga in the living room this morning so I started the Cardio (long) premix of Drill Max and at 5am had to move into the kitchen (!!!) to finish up the rest of my w/o. Irritating, but he never asks for the living room (where we exercise) in the morning.

Also, I have to train clients starting at 5:30 am so I have to start by 4:30 to get 30 min. done and then finish up later in the day. This morning I had no clients so I got to do it all at once. Yeah!!!

Some nights I go to bed actually getting excited about training with Cathe in the morning. One...sick...puppy...or just a freak on endorphins. :D
 
Thats funny! You must have a big kitchen. Mines is so tiny. I workout downstairs in my basement which when go downstairs in the morning it's sooo cold down there. But then I'm all heated up in no time. This morning as I'm sitting at my desk listening to the radio the DJ and his crew where talking about working out and getting into the habit of doing in the morning and the guy said If I workout before I come to work that means I would have to get up at 2:00am and theres no way in hell I'm doing that. Thats NUTZ! So then I thought to my self am I'm NUTZ? No, just motivated.

Yep! NUTZ, crazy, freaky...whatever you want to call it. No, my kitchen isn't too big. In fact, I had to modify a lot so I didn't hit the pillar in the middle of the room. That's how nutty I am. I don't care cuz it's done. YEAH!!

Your resume is very impressive. It looks like you know your stuff. I also see that you have P90x. In your honest opinion how do you like it and how does it compare to cathe? Just asking cause I recently purchased P90x I love the whole nutrition aspect of it. However, I plan on starting P90x in January. When I first received it about 3 weeks ago I was very excited (Still am) and I jumped right in to it but then I stopped the 2nd week into because I want to get use to my morning routine first and being that I know cathe and her workouts I know what to expect. Once I get my morning routine down to a science then I'll pick up with Tony in Jan almost like a new year something different.

It does take a few weeks for your body to get into the groove of the new schedule. Trust me getting up early when your body refuses to go to sleep at the right time gets hard, but keep doing it because the more you do it, the easier it will be to get up in the morning. You are making an investment! :) Oh, and I pack my lunches on Sundays (we have a commercial fridge at work so that I can store it all there) and lay out my clothes and workout clothes the night before. It all helps me to not have to get up ANY earlier than I really have to. ;)
