TGIF (and a long weekend ahead)!
I finished Meso 2 this morning, and I am so looking forward to a week off. Well, not really off from exercise, but off from STS.
Mary, thanks for the note. DD got off to a rocky start at the new school (which started Aug. 10). Her teacher wasn't a good fit, her class was huge, she didn't know anybody, and the math was too easy for her.
However, DH managed to get her switched. She started yesterday in a smaller class with two fully accredited teachers (both of whom are wonderful), and she's been moved to an advanced math class with another teacher who seems wonderful. I am hoping that she'll be happier and start making some friends. But she's hanging in there, adapting as best she can. Thank you for asking.
Mary, you're trying kettlebells? I really like(d) kettlebells, but haven't done a real KB workout since starting STS in February. I did give my sister a couple of KB workout videos to try. She's gotten very heavy and out of shape. She has very little time, money, or space, so I think this will be good for her. I look forward to starting again after I finish STS in five weeks.
Murphy, you got the flu shot already? I'm afraid to get the flu shot. Every time I do, I immediately come down with something awful. Last year I got pneumonia right after the flu shot. The year before I got a pneumonia shot and came down with laryngitis. It really is always something.
Ronne, France? I've never been. In all my years of travel (my father was a commercial airline pilot), I never made it to France. Someday...
By the way, if anybody is considering the new-ish Amy Bento kickbox workout called Kickbox Surge, I highly recommend it. I had pre-ordered it and forgotten. When it was released, I previewed it and decided I didn't want it. (I was surprised when it arrived anyway!) I'm glad I got it because it's a lot of fun -- very challenging but much easier to learn that Kickbox Xtreme was.
Anyway, I have to get to work. Have a great day, everyone!
