Antibiotics

Does anybody know of a way to avoid the weight gain or even to lose weight while on antibiotics? I caught a nasty skin infection (I'm going to the doctor this morning), and I suspect they may suggest antibiotics. I have historically gained weight with antibiotics. Does anyone have a good idea?

I wouldn't worry about it. Steroids and antibiotics can cause water gain. Within a couple of weeks it'll be off. If you gain more than 5 pounds talk to your doctor as that can indicate a reaction to the meds or the dosage. It's normal and you'll be ok weight-wise, I promise! Don't let the scale or water retention play mind games with you- you are stronger than that!
