Another Question for Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I was reading some of your earlier posts and had a question for you. (Seriously, you should be getting a consultant fee on this forum LOL!)

I am really enjoying the strength training I have been doing and would like to see how my body would respond to heavier lifting. As I can not purchase both right now, which should I get first: Slow and Heavy or Gym Style?

I have been rotating the Pyramids, Leg & Glutes and Body Max (for upper body). I have noticed that S&L, Gym Style and the new 4 Day Split all split up the upper body work - is this how you usually rotate your body parts?

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions here - we all appreciate what a valuable forum member you are!

Hi Corrie,
Gym Style hands down. You can go very heavy with this series. Take longer rests then Cathe (especially when you go higher then she does with the weights) to make sure you can get through all the sets.

Rotate the body parts like they are in GS:

Example:

Monday: Chest & Tri's
Tuesday: Cardio
Wednesday: Back, Bi's & Shoulders
Thurs: Cardio
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Legs
Sunday: Cardio

Hope this helps!

Thanks Debbie - this is exactly what I needed to know.

I currently do 3 days strength and 3 days cardio, but because I only have complete upper body workouts I am not splitting it. One week I do 2 upper body/ 1 lower body and the next week I do 2 lower body/ 1 upper body. I hope it's okay to be doing legs twice a week :)

I will be ordering Gym Style asap - I am pretty excited to see what kind of results I will get if I lift heavier.

Thanks again!
