another insanity question

Well, these threads have me intrigued. I haven't even seen the infomertial and i'm ready to order. So if you don't mind two quick questions (i searched but didn't find the answers)
1. where can i get the best price
2. is the upper body work adequate.

I like to run and have to have my upper body workouts so i'm trying to figure how to work this all into my already busy schedule.

BTW, this is the first bandwagon for me since p90X . I didn't order STS, mainly because I know the wait is always 12 months or more and i'm a person who wants my new stuff NOW.
Anyhoo, thanks for any advice to enable this purchase!!

Ok, now I don't want to sound dumb...but what is this "insanity" thing everyone's talking about? I can't find anything about it on cathe's site here. so what's is all about? I feel silly for asking! hehe!

Alana, go to beachbody.com and look to the right for fitness programs, click on insanity and view

Insanity is a new ultra-intense cardio-driven series produced by BeachBody and starring Shaun T, who also starred in a series called "Hip Hop Abs". Insanity is not for the faint of heart nor the troubled of joint, although because of the simplicity of drills it can appeal to the klutz who wants a serious hard-core workout (that would be me). There are several workouts that are comprised of 4 45-second drills per drill block with the 4 drills repeated 3 times, with 30 seconds breathing (panting) / water breaks in between each repetition; there are several other workouts in which the drills are approximately 1 minute each with no meaningful breathing (gasping) / water breaks (I call the format of these workouts "One Long String of Pain). It is very intense, very athletic, and designed to push you to your max and shatter your own max ceiling. There are also a few more moderate workouts designed for recovery days. There is a lot of core work within the cardio routines, and a stand-alone core routine called "Cardio Abs". The series comes in a basic package ~$119.00 and a deluxe package ~$164.00 (which includes another cardio routine, another mean core routine, and an upper body routine). I'm totally enjoying it, and am using it to train up to Shock Cardio.

Wendy, I can't speak to whether or not there are various vendors with various prices.

For upper body work, I think you need to decide whether by "adequate" you mean "weight-driven". If that is the case, then I'd say you'd need to incorporate some other Cathe weight work (Fit44 is having great success using 4DS weighted work with her Insanity rotation). There is an upper body routine in the deluxe package but I don't know if that would suit you.

Yes! THEY ARE INSANE! I don't think I'm ready for all that. I'm an intermediate to advanced cathe worker-outer lol (more on the intermediate). I wouldn't do the instanity workout until I've lost all the weight I want with cathe.

It reminds my of my husband cause he does PX90. Altough this looks a little more rediculous that. However, I'm still stickin' to my cathe workouts, she's still challenging me! Thanks for the help Phat and Aqua! =)
