Another HRM question?

HI all,
I have another HRM question. I just purchased the polar 6 HRM and was wondering if i should have bought the electrode gel that was suggested? Do you use it with the chest trasmitter or something else? I ordered it late last night and did not even think about this gel. Any suggestions? Thanks alot

I've never used the gel and I've had my HRM for over 2 years. I'm pretty sure you just need to add some water to the electrodes. I've actually never met anyone who has used the gel either, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have the F6 and have never used any gel.. it works every time.
