another catfood: Eukanuba

for Sensitive Stomache. has anyone tried this. i am having a hard time deciding what to buy. i mentioned before that my vet gave my cat hill's perscription diet K/D but she does not like it. i have checkede other vets and they carry the same thing.

I would suggest Royal Canin. My cat had a prescription that my vet would order for me. She really liked this one.

Did your vet prescribe k/d because your cat actually has kidney failure? If so, you should really check with them because your cat may truly need a low-protein kidney diet. You might want to ask for Purina NF, another prescription diet. In my experience, cats seem to prefer it.

my cat does not have kidney failure. it was just in case because there is no proof that it was the garbage she ate and i went to the vet before it got any worse. i have searched the internet forever and finally found 2 foods that have not been recalled-Eagle Pack and Wellness. i'm going to try the Wellness because it has no corn or wheat or byprodics. i think i'm going to still give her the canned Hills Prescription diet during the day and Wellness at night. Is that ok? she eats very little food. so i'm worried she is not getting enough water, protein, etc

Laura, don't worry so much. They don't have to eat "perfectly balanced" every single day. Like for humans it is nutritional balance over time.
Despite of what the marketing of the pet food industry wants us to believe feeding a cat or a dog is not rocket science.

Wellness is good petfood and most of it is human grade. If you are worried about her water intake, what would keep you from feeding Wellness canned food? If you still want to feed the Hills Prescription k/d just keep in mind that the main ingredient is pork liver, feeding liver in large amounts over a long time may be problematic, mainly because of the toxins in liver. Feed it every other day maybe.

I feed my dogs homemade and raw but my cat, Nemo, doesn't want any part of it. He just looks at me with that certain look on his face, meows and strolls off, pouting.
He does eat canned Nature's Variety and Wellness (mainly the fish and seafood varieties because Nature's Variety doesn't have fish in their canned food) and I rotate between different meats and those two brands, whoever has it on sale or whereever I get a coupon. Wysong is also great but he won't eat it  Mr. Finicky!!!

By the way, you can sign up on the www.wellnesspetfood.com website and get monthly coupons. I think it is called Well Pets Club.

My previous cat didn't eat much either and he was doing fine, Nemo on the other hand will eat me out of house and home one of these days  Did your vet say anything about your kitty being too skinny?
