Another Cardio Coach Question

I've been hearing so much about these lately that I'm tempted to buy a few. I consider myself an intermediate exerciser but my lungs have been damaged from seasonal allergies through the years. When the intensity gets too high/fast, I have to stop a few seconds just to catch my breath. I wonder if I could even keep up with Sean's easiest workout #1. So tell me - how difficult are his first volumes?

yes! you can do it!

i often say i wont run unless im being chased by someone w/ an axe! since THAT never happens.....i got cc for my ellip.:D

sean just tells you to up your speed or resistance. theres no "if youre not running 10mph you suck!" you pick how fast/hard you go.

just try v1. itll be the best $5 you have spent in a long time....:D

The 1st volumes are easier than the later volumes, but only because they are shorter. You are working at YOUR levels, so they are as hard or easy as you want them to be. I guarantee my level 3 isn't the same as Sean's level 3 exertion. I don't have a HRM, so I go by PE. So, yes, you can keep up - you are working at YOUR levels. That's the beauty of it. Well, that and Sean whispering in your ear:eek::p

Sean's workouts are designed for any fitness level - really! He's got a great "perceived exertion" system that's divided into four levels, with Level 1 being recovery, and Level 4 being the hardest you can work. You decide, by how you're feeling, what your levels are. He never tells you to run a certain speed or set resistance to a certain level. That's your decision.

His workouts are also based on the interval training concept, so after every hard push, he gives you time to catch your breath. There are a few of his more recent workouts, like Vol 8, where the intervals are longer, but I really think you'd be able to work with just about any volume that interests you.

He gives a complete breakdown of each workout on his website. It tells exactly how long each segment is, and what he's doing - climbing, sprinting, etc. There are also some audio clips, so you can really check them out before you buy.

I think you'll really enjoy Cardio Coach. But then, I'm a hardcore fan, and I think everybody should like Sean! :D

What she said!! ;) :D

ETA that I suffer from seasonal allergies, too, and this time of year just about kills me! If you're having a problem with recovery, all you have to do is press the back button on your MP3 player and repeat the steady state track. I've done that before.
