Another Cardio Coach convert is born!

SRP

So.... last night I did CC, volume 6, with Candace as the coach. It was awesome! I've never pushed so hard! I was running on an endorphine high, and it took me forever to settle down enough to go to bed. I've also done volume 6 with Sean and loved every minute of it.

So, waiting for me now are volume 5 and.... Press Play. I simply cannot wait!

Hey Cuz!!

:) I told you so!

ETA that I'm so excited that you'll be able to take part in the next PP Saturday!! Mark your calendar for July 28th :D

My calendar is marked... and the one for August, too!

And yes, Cuz, you did! How could I have ever doubted you?

I think I may just have to look into these cardio coaches.

I MUST be missing out because every other day it seems like someone new is converted!!!

Oh boy....my poor poor credit card. May you RIP after this week is over!

Ok...since I will love him...er...it..(;))., let me ask a question.

I am not really a runner. I have tried, but I have never been consistent enough to get past a mile or so without feeling as if my lungs were going to explode out of my chest. The reason for my inconsistency is I hate not being good at something and I guess haven't had the "patience" to build the stamina. **Shame, shame on me!!!***

Anyhoo...my question is, can these cardio coaches be beneficial for someone like me, who isn't a runner (YET!!)? The only cardio equipment that I have is a treadmill (which right now doubles as a clothing rack, but that is another story!).

Can you walk to these and still be in the groove?

Rose, I think CC would be just the thing to help you build stamina. The workouts are appropriate for all fitness levels and you progress at your own pace. The workouts alternate between intervals of steady state and challenges. The challenges are either hills or sprints and last anywhere from several seconds to a minute. You can do that -- you CAN. Coach Sean makes you believe you can. His ability to motivate is the stuff of legend.

Rose - yes, you can use Cardio Coach for any level, and several different types of equipment. I use it on my elliptical trainer.

Sean (the coach)gives you certain levels to work for - 1 is warmup/easy, 2 is steady-state, where you can work for a long time, 3 is pushing hard and 4 is giving everything you've got. You are the judge of what those levels are, so you can adjust the workout for you.

He also tells you when you're on flat ground or climbing a hill, so you can adjust the incline of your treadmill - or for me, the resistance on my elliptical.

It's wonderful, and Sean is very inspirational. Get that credit card out!

Rose - I agree with Michele and I think that you could totally start out with CC walking, just as long as you're hitting the zones that Sean has you aiming for. I know on the iTread workouts, Grace has a walker's option as well. And doing CC and iTread has improved my speed immensely, so I bet you'd be running in no time at all!

I am not a runner. I hate running. I'd get tearfully bored were it not the the painful stitch I get in my side. I use the elliptical (which means no painful "stitch") and without Sean telling me to bust a move I'd last five minutes. Sean keeps me going for the full hour or so and I end up drenches and delighted with yet another kick a$$ workout. Is your credit card quivering Rose?? ;-)

Quivering??!!! I think that cloud of smoke I just saw out of the corner of my eye was my credit card bolting out the door!!!!! }(

But seriously, I guess I always would shy away from these because I am not a runner. But...maybe this is just the thing I need to become one huh?

**Now...off to find that scaredy-cat credit card of mine....**

I love V. 6 with Candace. That one is a real killer. I've been nursing a sore calf but its better now and I think I'll put V. 6 on tap for tomorrow morning. Really need to pysch myself up for that one.

Sometime I put V. 6 on and say "oh, I'll just do up to challenge 3" but I always stay in for the 4th Challenge. Love it!!!
