I just got home around 4pm. I have been up since 2.We had to had him there at 5 .Why so early?????
We were both in tears before he went back.
They operated at 8. Out by 12. He came through . Some bleeding in the lungs and his bp they were keeping trying to keep up.
I am really worried. They said it was normal .I hope so.I will be better tomorrow. I am trying to stay up till 7-8 so i can sleep all night.
I figure get up at 5 work out , go to work and try to leave by 5 to go see him.They are strict on visitation.
Jefferson Hospital was wonderful, nurses, doctors, staff. I have never been there before.Dr. Park operated on him. His dad did my mom. He is young.He did the aortic valve and said the mitral was ok enough to leave alone. His heart was enlarged and hardened.
But, he woke up. He had a breathing tube in , but squeezed my hand. Of course i teared.We wer only allowed 5 min with him.The anistesiologist and nurse were right there for the duration.
It is going to be a long week........
I will feel better after 7 days with no stroke....

I am just not ready to loose him.

Anne.......Hang in there. You're Dad is a strong guy. He came thru ok. I know how scared you are. I've been there. And I know the horrible feeling it is to feel like we're going to lose them. I feel it everyday.My Dad will be 86 in December and is dwindling day by day. Have faith that he will be ok no matter what. We're here for you. Your Dad and you and your family are in my prayers. There is a plan that we know nothing about. Just stay close to him and your family and everything will be ok I promise. BIG ((((((((HUGS)))))))) for you and gentle ((((HUGS)))) for your Dad! Thanks ladies. I am ok. (couple glasses of stress free wine).
Just got a call. Pressure is up and breathing tube is coming out soon.
Bleeding is lightening up.
Sis is going in am so i will know more.
Hope he is not in pain. Is allergic to morphine and demerol.
I will praise Jefferson Hosp. They were wonderfulllllll.
No one rude and nasty . Nurses spectacular...( I have had some bad expereiences)...
Nurses out there . We weanies depend on you.....
We need TLC. Stresssss.
Ps. excuse my spelling. I am feeling no pain right now...
