Hello ladies!!Well he has arrived. I was in labor for most of last week. The labor was in my back so to say the least painfull. On wed. I went to my ob for a check and found I was still 2 cm so they left it up to me to decide when to be induced. I went in on thurs morning and began pitocin at 11:30 am. They broke my water at 1:00 pm and then I requested my epidural at 5cm. Unfortunatley the epidural fell out of place at 7cm and I had to labor from 7-10 without medication and to top it off he was posterior. I will never be able to express verbally what that pain was like but I will say that at 10 cm I refused to push and told them I wanted a cesection. They ofcourse would not give me a c section so they gave me a spinal. As soon as I got the spinal my body relaxed and andrews head turned into the right postion and I pushed him out with 5 pushes(thanks to working out) He weighed 9lbs. 10 oz. and was 22 inched long!! I think my head may have spun around during labor and I thought my hubby was going to pass out from my screaming. Women are powerfull human beings, I have such respect for moms who labor without medication(shopohalic)it is truly such a show of strength both mental and physical. He is sleeping now and I am nursing with a little formula becasue his blood sugar was a little low. Hopefully when my milk comes in I can stop. Also i injured that herniation that I got with my 1st son so I can not lift my left arm beyond 30 degrees. I will be going back to the dr.s for that on tues. I hope everyone is well and I will keep you posted!!!

Congrats! I had excrusiating painful back labor with boy#2 and DID end up with a CSection b/c I couldn't handle the pain & he was stuck and wouldn't move! For medical reasons I couldn't have a spinal or epidural. :(
I"m so happy Andrew is healthy and strong. I look forward to seeing you at postpatrum check ins when you're up to it. ;) It's nice to see how baby's and moms are doing even before you begin to exercise, so feel free to stop in right away. :)

Mary- that's wonderful news. Congratulations and be sure to join us when you're ready. Will you call him Andrew or a nickname? I love the name Andrew. Kristan

Thank you all for your thoughts, I plan on calling him Andy. This has been a crazy few days, I feel like all I am doing is b'feeding. I am taking Andy to the dr. for a visit on Fri. so we will make sure he is gaining weight properly. I am giving him some formula at certain feedings but hopefully I can stop that soon. I will keep you posted and I hope you all feel good!!
