okay, so mom leads a group of her bootcamp friends in a pseudo bootcamp workout every now and then. bootcamp is not year round, we go for 5 week sessions and there are 9 sessions in a year so the calendar does have a couple weeks off. this week is "summer sweat" where we do one hour instead of two, and it's free for anyone who wants to come for the week. but, it's an hour earlier than the class my mom usually attends with her friends, so they do their own thing and my mom and a friend of hers lead the whole hour all week.
*anyway*, mom's 60th bday is friday and she's going to throw herself a party for her bootcamp friends who have joined her for the week to celebrate. she's getting really into planning both the workout and the party after that and it's hilarious. (as an example, my dad saw there are electrical outlets, he brought some gadget he has that measures whether or not the outlets have power, and they are now planning to bring christmas tree lights and string them up around the trees where they meet. did i mention they are retired??!) she's going to make everyone do things not for "a minute" but for "sixty seconds, in honor of me" all hour long. it's cracking me up!!!! :p :7 :7 :7
also, these bootcamp friends ROCK. they took my mom to lunch today so that she won't suspect they're all going to be at the restaurant Friday night!!! :D }( :7 }(
