<---was just listening to NPR interview a guy who wrote a book about Laurel Canyon, where all the rock stars lived in the 60's - CSN&Y, Morrison, Mama Cass, Zappa - he told the story of Graham Nash's song Our House - He and Joni Mitchel had gone out to breakfast and stopped at a store where she bought a vase. When they got home, it was chilly, so he said, I'll light the fire, while you place some flowers in the vase that you bought today."
