American Idol for tonight

I'll start this week's chat off - I thought a lot of them did very well, and I finally decided I had to get serious and vote. I got through and voted for Taylor, my favorite from the beginning. I keep going back to "who would I pay money for to see in concert," and he's the one.

Some of those songs were doozies - real tough to sing, sort of like the Stevie Wonder songs. It was a good show overall.

Yeah tonight was better than I expected. Some i don't even vote for I thought did well. I voted for Kathryn and Chris, and I am not quite sure who out of the eight will go home tomorrow.
 
I will say..I didn't really like Elliot as much as the judges did....I thought everyone else was great...:)
 
My favs were Taylor, Ace, Paris and Elliot, and of course Chris (did not like his song choice though).

I am sick of Kelly and her dumb comments! She needs to listen to Pink's song! (sidenote:although I am not too happy with Pink right now! Have you read her quote about the guy she married? yuck! Puking together from being incredibly wasted is not romantic! IMO)

I know we have some Buckey fans - so I am sorry...I just don't think he can sing. I was shocked to hear the judges thougt he did okay.

Katherine - yeah she sounded okay. But I think I would rather hear her do an upbeat song! I think her album would be boring!

I think I am growing tired of Ace...are you all shocked???? LOL!

Buckey sang very well. Liked it.

Katharine was o.k.

Kelly did better, but lighting was horrible. Made her look wretched!

Chris rocks no matter what he sings. He could sing Mary had a little lamb and rock!

Elliott was not that good and neither was Paris.

Taylor did much better. That was a good song choice for him. He is such a trip!

I thought Kelly and Paris looked like a couple of dominatrixes. What was up with the black riding pants???? Very odd and not at all flattering.

I admit I was switching back and forth between this and Blow Out on Bravo (I love Jonathon Antin! He is such a diva!), so I missed some of the performances. What did Kelly sing? I just saw her standing there getting ready to whip Ryan afterwards, hehe.

Chris was good, but the song was too obscure. Bucky I thought was really bad and turned that one off immediately. I liked Taylor's performance a lot although when he was jumping around behind the judges I do think his vocals got iffy.

What are they doing next week? Songs from Public Enemy?? lol

Alright, I am so depressed! I missed it!!!! Can anybody tell me what the line up was and who sang what??? Thank you SOOOOOOOO much!!!!! :7

I DVR'd it which gave me the advantage of replaying it again, and for singers like Elliott, the first time you are kind of shocked, because no one can do that song like Freddie, but if you listen again, you realize how incredible he is vocally.

Bucky did Fat Bottom Girls - it was just OK for me, Dude....actually it was not bad, but after seeing the whole show and going back to him, I realized how much he paled to the others. He is cute and a likable performer.

Ace - We will Rock you.....awful the first time....awful the second time

Kellie - Bohemian Rhapsody - um, don't sing this song through you nose with a little girl pitch and she was scary looking to boot..I guess I really dislike her.

Chris - Inuendo - which is a song I don't know, so the first time it was OK, the second I critiqued more what he sang, and vocally he was very good

Katherine - Who wants to live forever. She has one of the best voices, but something about her bores me.

Taylor - Crazy little thing called Love - this had me smiling and lauging, and totally entertained. I loved that he missed the microphone stand when he tried to kick it...so he did it again. Vocally a little off, dancing a little wierd, but my husband and I looked at each other when he was done, and we both said surprisingly...we liked it.

Elliott - somebody to love. He changed this up quite a bit, and at first I thought Huh?,but the second time through I realized he nailed it, except the first phrase which was a bit off pitch.

Paris - The show must go on - she is another who has so much talent, but I can't figure out what it is about her I don't like. she started out really well, and then she spoke "come on y'all" and that lost me.

I thought everybody sucked except for Chris. That guy can sing like no other. It bothers me that so many people are so concerned with the song choice. Who cares about the song he sings!!! Care about what it sounds like coming out of his mouth.

Alot of people seem to like Taylor. I don't get him....maybe the gray hair that throws me off??? I don't know. I don't care for his voice. He sounds too old and outdated. I could never go to his concert and stay for the whole thing. I would be the 1st out of the parking lot!!! Now, if I were at Chris' concert, I would be screaming for more, more, more!!!!

My pick for bottom 3: Ace, Katharine and (this is a hard one....) Bucky.

I could see Elliott going to the bottom instead of Katharine. Ace should go home, but I could see Bucky getting cut. It is an hour long tonight. I wonder if Queen is going to perform more than one song.
 
I have no idea who is going home tonight, but I voted for Chris, got through 3 times after about a half an hour of trying.

I am so attached to all of them at this point. I actually got tears in my eyes when Mandisa got voted off. I think that either Ace or Bucky will get voted off tonight but have a special place for both of them in my heart. Our favs are Taylor & Chris, but there is not one at this point that we don't like.

Hmmm, so much to say on everyone :)

I think Ace is gonna find the door tonight. I think Paris and Bucky won't be far behind. I think Paris has a lot of talent but really needs to refine her skills and grow a bit. I think Bucky is a good country artist but he's kinda like a dime a dozen. I sorta think the same with Kellie. She has a really nice voice but been there done that.

Taylor is very entertaining and has a lot of spunk, and for that I see him hanging in there for a while. I wouldn't say his vocals are the best by any means but he really is rockin' that likeability factor. How can you not enjoy him?

I think Katharine has a really great voice but there is something kind of blah about her that doesn't speak individuality.

I do like Elliot. He is very down to earth and sings from the heart, but I don't know if he is strong enough to edge out the ones who bring a little more to the table overall.

I think Chris is really the one to beat. He is a fresh voice in terms of rocking the house and has amazing vocals and a great likeability factor.

Okay, I really tanked on my predictions for last week, so let's see how I can do this week:

Bottom Three - Taylor ( Sorry, too karaoke for me, and the guy missed the microphone stand for goodness sake!)
Buckey - just can't stand this guy, or maybe I just can't UNDERSTAND what the heck he is singing?
Ace - I really think this guy loves himself more than anything, his "talent" has peaked in my book.

I know, I can be soooo critical, but it is fun! }(
 
I think Ace was the worst. I hope he is the one going tonight since I'm getting tired of his cheesiness. I wouldn't be sad if Kellie goes home, though. :eek:

Chris is my favorite and I agreed with Simon that it could have been a really good week for him but the song he choose bored me to tears.

I don't know what it is about Bucky. I know he's not a very good singer compared to the others, but I really like him. I think he just comes across as a nice person.

I thought Paris was going to do awful this week but I was surprised.

Did anyone else notice the Queen guys didn't have much praise for any of them other than Chris and Paris?

My bottom three picks - Ace (hopefully gone), Kellie, Bucky
 
The Queen guys used to rock with Freddie Mercury, so I am sure they were like, huh?? LOL

I think Ace, Bucky, and Kellie will be the bottom three, with Ace going home. Kellie was cute in the beginning but she is really taking the country bumpkin thing way too far. She doesn't know what "on paper" means??? Do they write on some other substance where she grew up? }(

Chris, Chris, Chris!! I love this guy - great voice and hot, too!
I actually like Bucky's scratchy southern-rock voice, but I don't think he'll last long. Kellie has got to go - that dumb factor is too much. Katherine is very pretty and can sing, but I agree with previous comment - boring. Same with Ace. Taylor annoys me - he looks like he's having a seizure when he "dances." Remember Elaine on Seinfeld? maybe they're related! Paris - has potential but is not ready yet. Elliot just doesn't do it for me either.
I'm all about Chris. Hope he wins!
