Good Morning!:)

Im back from an awesome weekend! Boy, we had a ball! I was ready to get home yesterday though. Nothing worse then just wandering around the city, waiting to go home when your not the driver.I wanted to get home before DS went to bed while everyone else didn't want to get home till their kids were in bed:eek: :)
Did lots of drinking, eating, dancing and shopping! I don't even know if Sat nights drinks count cause we danced and danced.
Man, doesn't take long to drop $6-$800 bucks does it? Especially when you bring back stuff for everyone else as well!

Todays workout is just a run. I should be able to get in atleast 6 miles, Im hoping I have the energy!I also have to work today so 2 early morning workouts are in order:-(

My boss is gone to mexico so I will probably be on the computer off and on all day:)

BBL to report my workout and hopefully I can catch up on personnals as well!

Lori:)

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did WSFL. The strength portion was deadlifts followed by the metabolic circuits of RDL's/Abs on Ball and then Step Ups & KB Swings. I used my 35 lb KB for the swings. Intervals were 30/90...but I did them more like 30/60 - 6 rounds...but I did 7 rounds. Workout with cooldown and stretch was 60" and I burned 442 calories. Tunes were the new Shinedown - Sound of Madness and Papa Roach Paramour Sessions for cardio.

Have great workouts everyone.

Lori - what city did you go to? Glad you had a nice time.

Hi Girls.

Lori: Glad you had a fun weekend and now you come back to work to a boss on vacation!? What more can a girl ask for? :7

Lora: Swings with a 35# KB? WTG!

Today was going to be my rest day until I realized that considering I am probably going to A/C this weekend I will be eating and drinks alot. I also may be taking saturday and sunday both as rest days so I am not going to rest today after all. It will be AB stage 2 day 2 weights for me at nap time. First time doing this work out...wish me luck. Oh and if I have time and energy I will follow it up with HIIT as well. }(

Where's Sunny been? I hope she's okay!

BBL!

Good morning, girlies!!

So this morning didn't go exactly as planned. We had some nasty thunderstorms tear through the area through the night. My power went out around three o'clock in the morning and wasn't restored until 7:30 this morning. That meant no workout for me. For one thing, it was too dark. For another, I wasn't going to go get all sweaty and gross and then not be able to take a shower. And lastly, but most significantly, NO COFFEE!!! Can't workout without a coffee first. So, it looks like I'll squeeze in a cardio session tonight and hit the weights tomorrow.

Lori, I missed it...where did you go? I'm glad you had a great time! I hear you on the $$, I dropped way too much money on the kids and myself this weekend. But hey, it's only money. ;)

Lora, great workout again. I'm sending you good vibes of fortitude against the workday munchies. I do not envy you in that work environment. It's so hard when it's right in your face.

Wendy, You had the whole weekend to yourself, girl? Woohoo! Always nice to have a taste of single life for a short time. Glad to hear you took advantage and got some shopping in. Life can't be all work(outs) and no play ;) (Obviously, shopping is one of my favorite activities :7 ). I had some really good luck at Old Navy last week for shorts. I hope the same for you. What month is your birthday in? With all that organizing you did yesterday, you sound like a Virgo. ;)

Hi Girls.

Alright. I think it's time to make it official...I'm baggin' Alwyn for a bit. I need a change. I was not into doing AB again today so I did The Kettlebell Way w/o the rests between rounds (loved it that way!) and then added the crush curls from KBG on the end plus KBG's stretch since TKW doesn't include a stretch. It was a great work out! So as of tmrw I will start a new rotation. I am leaning towards bells but who knows. I'll see what happens. I do, however, intend to keep HIIT as a part of the plan, doing it 3x per week along with some steady state. :) Perhaps after a few weeks of something different I'll feel refreshed and ready to give AB stage 2 a shot but for now, I'm not going to force it. That's how one starts skipping work outs and I definately don't want to start doing that.

Jen: Sorry about the power outage. I know how terrible that is. It's happened quite a few times to us over the past few summers. The last outage we had in the early hours, I actually worked out using my portable dvd player (luckily the battery was charged). I did it only because I was awake and had nothing else to do. I couldn't hang around idle w/o my coffee so I worked out to keep my mind off it. I was also able to take a shower regardless of the power being out so that was not an issue for me. On a regular day though, I NEVER work out before coffee!}( LOL
You are good-going to the beach for the weekend and cooking most of the meals. When I go on vaca I want someone to serve me most of my meals! LOL I will bring easy stuff like cereal and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch if possible to save some bucks (and some calories ofcourse!) but never cook dinner for myself!:p Nope, not a virgo. I was born in April. Taurus all the way. The organizing I did this weekend is soooo not like me! It happens like once a year! LOL :p

Wendy,

Oh yay! I *heart* Tauruses. BF and DD are both born under that sign. Stubborn but sensitive, incredibly generous, and they looooove luxury. Am I close? (I'm Virgo, by the way, which is why I wondered.)

Well, Alwyn will wait. You should definitely change things up if you have the need. I agree that it's far more important to keep the workouts consistent than slack off due to boredom. Who knows, maybe we'll dive into Stage 2 together. ;)

Your kettlebell workout sounds excellent. I'm not even going to consider it yet, though, as I'd like not to cheat on Alwyn just yet.
;)

Hi there ladies !

Well well well, sounds like everyone had great weekends ! Good deal for those of you that had a nice change of pace - it helps so much.

Jen - funny how cooking can be fun when you don't do it often, huh? But the best part was you controlled your eating while on vacation!

And Wendy, ITA with changing from Alwyn's workout for a bit. It gets to be quite monotonous and even though you are seeing results, I'm with you on the potential for skipping workouts. Takes quite a bit of motivation to workout when you are "feelin' it".

Lori - so glad to hear you had a great weekend - see I knew it ! Too bad you felt a little lonely for DS toward the end though - it's so hard when the feelings are tearing at your heartstrings. ;( Those adorable little ones are so hard to do without when they are young and innocent. Even now with mine ranging from 19 - 23, though I don't see two of them daily, it is so hard to part their company when I am with them.;-)

Lora - sending more <<<willpower>>> vibes your way - you are doing so well ! Just think of the energy you have to lift your 35lb KB since you are eating well!;-)

Think I may take a second rest day - yesterday went well with helping DD (19) move and we had some good ol' fashioned giggles and fun. I'm feeling just rather "yucky" for lack of a better term. Have only 2 Alwyn workouts left in this Stage so will finish them this week and then will break from him for probably about a week.

Really want to try a run again to see if I am up to a 10K in 2 weeks. (Sounds like a good excuse to me, huh?) Sat's run was OK but I had a hard time with a stitch and my breathing was pretty hard. Want to adjust my pre-run intake and see if it might make a difference.

Hope y'all have a great day !
