Good Moring Americans!:)

Hope you are all enjoying your holiday! As for me, its just another day in Canada:) We had our holiday on Tues, not that it mattered b/c I worked....oh...double time:)

I did GS UB's yesterday and a 6 mile run. My UB is sooo sore! Cathe really gets in there good and P90X never once made me feel like this. Im not sure what I was doing wrong, if anything. I used heavy weights, certainly alot heavier then the ladies in the workouts, but I never got DOMS like this. The GS do have alot of reps though so maybe thats why.:)

Todays workout is a run and abs. Gonna head out soon before it gets to warm. May go tanning today while DS takes his nap and then its back to work tonight:-(

Good Morning Lori and all who follow.

Lori: The X uses a different style of training. Tony works the muscles in a circuit so that you are never working the same body part for 2 exercises in a row. Cathe exhausts a body part before moving on to the next one. That is the difference but to never get DOMS from the X is bizarre. I think you need to heavy up those weights!!!!}(

I have KBG on tap for today with my new bells! I am uber excited about it! After that we have to pre-bowl. This could be BAD!:eek: I hope I do well! We can't afford to have any bad games right now or we will never make it out of last place!:p

Never made it to a workout yesterday so today is my last day of NROLW Stage 2. Have pulled a few rotations that I may try for a few weeks until I can get my "tiredness" under control.

Lori - hope your sunny day turns out to be the best !

Wendy - looking forward to hearing about your double KB workout !

Quiet thread so far today? I guess everyone is enjoying family time:)
Im back from my 9 miles and it was warm out! And I don't know, but as soon as I hit a certain st, the flies come out of nowhere. Thank goodness for the gust of wind I use to get!

Wendy** I did have a little DOMS from the X but not a whole lot, not like I have now anyway. I did use heavy weights but I was afraid to lift to heavy b/c he kept preaching about heavy if you want bulk and light if you want lean. So I would use somewhere in between and do as many reps as the girls. Say they were using 12 lbs, then I would use 15 lbs. Cathe certainly exhaust my muscles yesterday:eek: have fun with your workout!

Jacque** How come your so tired? Working lots? I hate being tired! Out of sex,food and sleep, I love sleep the most! LOL Hope you pick out a good rotation.

Time to get in the shower and make some lunch!

Lori: It is my understanding that you should go as heavy as you can with the X but do the higher rep count for the leaner look and the lower rep count for the bulk. To be honest though, women are not predisposed to bulk so you probably have very little to worry about no matter what. Sure you might gain a little but I'll bet it wouldn't be anything you'd dislike. I went as heavy as could and stuck with the 12-15 rep range. I did not bulk up. I was very happy with my results. I leaned out and gained strength and definition! Try it!

Jacque: Happy 4th girl! Hope you can beat the fatigue soon!

Well I nixxed the mish mosh and just did the KBG full body premix. The only thing I changed was that I nixxed the power breathing segment and put get up sit ups and slow kb twists in it's place. Otherwise I did the work out as produced. Holy smokes! What a huge difference the 2nd bell made! I also am very happy with the 20#'er for alot of the single bell exercises. Money well spent, ladies!:+

Good Morning ladies!!

I'm late because I slept in this morning. :7 I loooooove sleeping in once in a while!! Didn't get out of bed until 10:00 :eek: :eek: !

So I'm getting on the tread in a few for some HIIT and steady state, then I have an appetizer to make for a party later on, which we'll head off to after the parade at 2pm. Big day of festivities for us ;)

Wendy, I hope you have a blast in A/C, and good luck, too ;)

Lori, glad 4DS helped you really get your game on! I have to check to see if I have that series (yes, it's that bad that I don't know what I have got. How lame is that?)

Jacque, hope you get your energy back soon. I have weeks like that, too, where it seems like whatever I do I just cant feel rested and energetic. That might explain why I sleep in until 10 on occasion!

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did WSFL Strength, Metabolic Circuits and HIIT. I did chest press on an incline and rows for the strenght set and then abs on the ball with deadlifts first circuit and step ups and KB swings for 2nd circuit. Intervals were 3 rounds of 120/120. I only got my HR up to 158...total workout was 65" and I burned 520 calories.

I still feel like I didn't have a "great" workout....so I'll probably continue doing a few more days of WSFL until I get some intense days in. Also, I'm waiting for my new Dove workouts to get here.....so I can do them when I get them.

I also did Dharma Yoga for stress relief 20".

I have to go to a family picnic at my DH's niece's house. Not happy about that cuz they will have nothing but food that's bad for you. I'm taking whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce...but that's still a little too much carbs for me.

I don't like my haircut from yesterday either! When will I ever find a stylist I like?? It's fo frustrating.

ETA - was a little "bad" at work yesterday. I had pizza and salad for lunch (which will never happen again ...cuz I was sorta talked into it and it was't that good! I had half of a large chocolate chip cookie and a few bites of a tart cherry scone. I must confess!
 
Back to report I finished my NROLW Stage 2.

Upped the weight and reps on all but one exercise that I was actually doing more than I thought!:eek: Felt good and definitely had the energy. For HIIT did CC7 CH. #2 which was 10 - 1 min. challenges alternating between hills and speed work. Kept the TM @ 6 for the hills and actually did between 7 and 8 for the speedwork. Felt great !

The fatigue could be so many things as I am in the middle of one of those trying times. Not feeling like eating so have been skipping my mid AM snack. Will add that back next week. Work stress is slowing down. At 50 the "change" is definitely in full gear and my sleep patterns are horrible. Have an Rx for blood work so that will rule out any physical issues. I just need to keep on pluggin' away. I thank all of you for your well wishes and keeping me going with my exercise. Lori - happy you got your warm sun back and a good workout too. Thanks for wishing us Americans a happy USA birthday ! What did you decide to do with your routine for the upcoming wedding? Have a great day before work.;)

Lora - nice workout - you always sound like you're doing such a lot - are you sure you aren't being hard on yourself and saying they weren't great workouts? And I definitely got you beat yesterday in the food area. BBQ at work: burger with bun:9 , potato salad, a few chips, corn salad, watermelon, marinated veggies, brownie, cookie, and I think that was it !:p I did have small portions but was definitely stuffed. I even passed up S'mores }( Needless to say I ate "light" last night and will be watching it this weekend. I rarely splurge and you sound like you don't either. I think the important thing is to take it into consideration and adjust the remainder of the week, right ? Have a great day today and you will be just fine 'cuz you have willpower !
