This morning I did SWAT Toning followed by Total Body Blast Kettebells with Lauren Brooks. I added some ab work with the med ball. Total workout was 69" and I burned 487 calories.

I didn't like this SWAT as much as the strength one.....cuz you use bands and I didn't feel like I got a great toning workout.

Have great workouts everyone. Gotta go....running late. Had trouble logging on to my computer.

Re: the food at work...........it's still really bad. I did have one bad week last week or the week before when I had a few bites of cake and a few bites of something else. They eat chocolate cake almost on a daily basis and are always eating fries and such. Mostly, the baked goodies tempt me the most. I've been trying to be good though, but it's hard.

Good Morning Lora and all who follow.

Well I was able to find some energy and motivation last night and actually did 4DS bi/tri after all. I skipped the ab work but that's no biggie. Now today I can rest or do cardio as I see fit.

We are leaving later this morning (hopefully) to head down to Ocean City, MD on vacation for a few days. I'm bringing my 20# bell and my highstep to do work outs in my room. I am also bringing my running kicks just incase! ;)

So listen to this stroke of BAD luck! "Flo" was due about 10 days ago but was no where to be found! I waited...and waited...and waited! I even took a pg test just in case! It came up negative but flo was still MIA! Guess what!? Flo came TODAY! UGH! Now I have to deal with her on vacation. I am NOT happy about that! I am praying she light and painless!!!! (sorry if TMI but we are all women here so I figures it would be an OKAY topic)

BBIAB!

Kb !

Hi Friends-

Lora- I think a few bites sweets once in a great while is ok. But chocolate cake every day? Geesh! I havea problem with poeple who sit aroundand stuff themselves and then have all kinds of health issues. They drive our insurance costs up endlessly. Ok, sorry to rant here. Everything in moderation.

Wendy- Doesn't it just s**k about AF?! It is Murphys Law! I' m sure you will enjoy OC though anyway !

OK, so I did a DVD caled the Art of Strength with a 10# KB. Is anyone familiar with it? After a warm up it has 2 minute segments of one or two KB exercises followed by a 1 minute rest. There are 14 rounds of exercises. It seemed quite easy with a 10# KB, but I have a sore booty :eek:this morning! Our trainer friend said he would drop off some heavier KB for me to try out.

Hi Judy.

Sounds like you did AOS (art of strength) Providence with Anthony D. I have Kettlebell Your Way to a Perfect Body which is essentially the same work out but it was re-made with Beth Chamberlain. Great work out! Yeah, the sore booty thing is common with KB's. LOL I think you could easily handle a 15 or 20 pound kb! I started with 15 myself and it was perfect. Now I have 2 15's for double bell work and a 20 for lower body and most upper body single bell work. :)

Good Morning Gals!

No bed for me today. I just got off of work (got some z's at work) but I am getting things ready to head into the city.
Im starting to get excited about this race! I think its gonna be FUN! My SIL said that alot of people try to finish it in 90 mins, I wonder...could I do 85? That would be pushing it I think.

Anyway...todays workout is a short run. Im gonna do that outside shortly and tomorrow will be a rest day.

Lora** Sorry to hear about the food prob at work! Thats crazy! Cake..everyday? Sounds like HEAVEN...when you are allowed to eat it. Bu truly, who would want cake everyday?

Wendy** Good job at getting that workout in. Flo is a real pain, isn't she? that kind of stuff always happens to me.

Judy** Ive never heard of that workout. I just stick to cathe! LOL

Im sure someone else as posted since I started this...

BBL!

Good Friday Morning Ladies!:D

Day off of work but a busy one so I shortened my BM2 Double UB on a few of the exercises and, like Wendy, skipped abs. Will be doing them tomorrow anyway.

Lora - I'm with you on a total band workout - I do like it following weights for the extra resistance. And IA with Judy that a few bites here and there isn't a bad thing - we do need to enjoy life with our favs - daily is too much. And just so ya know, we had our monthly birthday celebration at work yesterday for the owner and I indulged in a bowl strawberry angelfood cake WITH a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yummy ! This weekend is our Garlic Festival so there will be some not so good yummies there too which I will pick and choose but do so in moderation. Then there will be an extra half hour at a minimum of running to help make up for the additional cals !

Wendy - glad to hear you got your workout in last night. Sorry about your visitor, but hopefully the fun will just make it all go away ! Enjoy yourself !

Judy - so nice to see you back. And I see that you are a KB'er now too ! If STS doesn't come soon I may have to join all of you - I just love a sore booty ! Seems like there are quite a few who like the AOS KB DVD's. In perusing KB's on one of my sleepless nights when the Cathe forums were down that was a favorite of many. Enjoy something new after your NROLW dedication. I did enjoy it, but am seeing a good change just from switching it up.

Lori - so happy to hear you excited about your race tomorrow ! I think your aim for 85 minutes is doable for you. Especially as Wendy mentioned - it gives you a little competition when others are running too. Will be waiting with baited breath to hear all about it - and make sure to take pics for us !:D

Off to get started on my day. No java yet as I am going to get blood drawn this AM - Dang I sure crave coffee and food in the morning !

May BBL in between chores and errands. Have a great day !
