Alwyn, TT, Kettlebellers, etc Tues July 29

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Flat Belly Cardio with Ellen Barrett. I only did 40 minutes of cardio so I amped up the intensity a bit and had my heart rate pushing around 150-155 for most of the workout. I burned 376 calories. Tunes were Stone Temple Pilots Greatest Hits.

I wanted to get done with my cardio early so I could order my BPAL. There was a Dark Moon update and both Black Moon & Schwarzer Mond made a come back. They are two of my all time faves...so I had to order. The long awaited Snow Glass Apples is up for sale also.....which I also bought. Supposedly it smells like "sexy vampire apples"...........whatever that means. LOL.

My coworkers were eating candy bars and potato chips at 10:30 am yesterday and then they had chocolate cake after their fried chicken finger lunches! Yikes!

Have great workouts everyone.

I got a little sore from that Barry's workout yesterday. Mostly abs.......which is surprising since I didn't use weight (I dont' think??). I'm still going to try them again and try to find ways to make them harder.
 
Good morning Lora, and all who follow!

I'm sneaking in early before the work day takes over ;)

So this morning I did Workout B of Stage II Afterburn and it's still a killer. I upped the weight on most of the exercises, and Alwyn always has me feeling like I'm about to keel over. It was a great workout. I may do some HIIT after work tonight if I can fit it in between errands and the kids getting home.

Okay, off to work but will BBS~

Hi Lora, Jen and everyone else who comes in later.

I'm on Jen's page again :D and popping in 'cuz today is another monster day at work and home for me. Can't wait for this week to be over and some of it will slow down.

Did the Drill Max Double Cardio premix - WOW it is nothing but intense with a bit of a recovery between all the drills. Had to FF through two of them the 2nd time around - the lower back did not like the jumping this AM. Was still 55 min. long and I had sweat dripping off my nose when we were bending over stretching !

Lora - I am surprised your co-workers can eat so much junk ! I don't even think I was that bad in high school ! :eek: Way to go on making your workouts harder - funny how ab work can create soreness with no weights. Reminds me of Cathe's non-weight drills that just burn your legs or arms.

Jen - way to stick with your Alwyn. I can feel the strength I gained but the dual exercises seemed to irritate my "less than young" back and shoulders and I couldn't do some of the exercises. Hope your day goes by quickly at work !

Sounds like you got a great workout in this morning! And it sounds like something I need to look into. It's a good thing I check in with you girls, because I wouldn't know HALF of what all my workout dvds have to offer if I didn't. :rolleyes: I went through a spell last year where my motivation was gone, and in an effort to kick it back into high gear I bought a bunch of recent Cathe dvds. But it didn't exactly work and they've been sitting around collecting dust. Now that I'm back on track I really need to give them all a go! It's true that I'm really diggin' what Alwyn throws at me though. I'm almost finished with Stage II and am seeing some excellent upper body definition, and my legs have leaned out a lot. Hopefully the next two stages will shed some of the fat around the middle. Of course, it would help if I tightened up the diet :eek: Lately, I've been allowing myself a treat (or two) here and there, or a glass of wine (or two). In fact, they tend to go hand in hand, and if I would just stay away from the wine I'd be all set! I'll keep workin' on that ;)

Lora, I like me my sweets, but come on, they all sound like they have a death wish! That's crazy! I think at some point I'd get disgusted and wouldn't be tempted at all. :eek:

Man, I can't wait for this day to end...hope everyone else's is going well.

Hi Girls!

Just wanted to pop in quickly to say hi. We got back this afternoon. Had a great time! I worked out on Saturday, Sunday and this morning so I'm happy about that! We WON'T talk about the food though. :p I did well with breakfast and lunch because we ate most of those meals in the room and I only bought myself healthy stuff but I DID have bad dinners and icecream a few times. Oh and we had one lunch out and I got a BLT and a milkshake! OOPS! LOL

Now it's time to get back to real life and I'm not happy about that. YUCK! LOL

Busy unpacking and doing laundry but will try to catch up on personals and such tmrw!

Welcome back, Wendy! :) It has been too quiet without you. Good job on the workouts, and forget the rest. It's what vacation is all about!
