Morning Ladies-

This morning I did WSFL Cardio. Six rounds of 60/120 intervals...but I did them more like 60/70. I got my HR up to 168 on one of them. For the 20 minute segment, I did Mindy's Med Ball Madness with a wimpy 4 lb ball and dropped to 2 pounds for one of the leg combos (as my legs are fatigued from yesterdays workout). Workout was 57" and I burned 538 calories with cool down and stretch. I like the stretch in this workout, as she uses the med ball for assistance and it changes the dynamics of the stretching.

RE: Work & food - these ladies eat Scones, Triple chocolate cake and other stuff too! I tell myself that I should look at them and think "do I want to look like them?" to resist the temptations....but it's still hard. The one girl is pretty much overweight and the other two are just slightly over weight with some fat rolls around the midsection...but not obese. My fitness friend started his "pre-competition" diet. He's very VERY disciplined and I admire him for that. His competition is Oct 18. He's increased his cardio and his trainer has him on a high protein diet with macro's figured and he's eating around 2200 calories. I don't think that's many calories for as big as he is. Heck...I can eat 2200 calories easy!!

Have a great day ladies.

Hey Lora and all who follow.

Today's work out will be AB stage 2 work out B plus HIIT. I'm going to die. This will be the first time I am braving HIIT after the weight work but I have no choice since this stage requires 3 weight work outs and 4 HIIT sessions. I HAVE to double up atleast one day or I will have to work out 7 days a week.

Jacque: I have to LOL @ you and Jen. I'd have failed miserabely at keeping that "pact" also. :p I think you should definately sign up for that 10k race. Races are great. I always wonder why I signed up but once I cross that finish line I know EXACTLY why! Nothin' like it!:)

Jen: Yeah, I caved on cc vol 8 which consequently lead me to getting 3 and 7 as well so now I have vols 3-8! I think I will pass on 1,2 and pump but I DO want Press Play one of these days as well. ;) So you get to wear shorts today and then leave early and head to the beach for the weekend? Lucky you? Is this a w/kids or sans kids weekend? }(

Lora: What a struggle for you daily to have to turn down all of those treats at work. I'd be as big as a house if I worked there!:7

That's all for now.
BBL!

Hi Friends-

Yesterday was a NROL4W day. It was the first stage 4 workout with cardio at the end. Normally I prefer cardio first, but did it second with CC3# on the TM. I have back DOMS today :) CC#3 is a great short workout. The intervals are short in challenge 3. But they follow the hill intervals in challenge 2.

Wendy- I just purchased volumes 3,7 & 8 of CC too!. After reading so many positive reviews about volume 8, I had to do it :) PS- I bet you will do great on your HIIT! It isn't long right?

Jen- Have a great beach weekend!

Lora- 2200 calories does not sound like much for a muscle bound guy. IA that looking at those ladies will help you to visualize how you may not want to be if you over indulge.

Today is golf , If it doesn't thunderstorm.....

Good Morning Girls!

Actually, its afternoon here now. Im gonna get DS's lunch, my lunch, put him down for his nap and get my workout in:) Today is P90X back & bic and Im thinking about BM2..without the UB work. I need to get a leg workout in as well but that may be on the agenda for tomorrow. I don't want to spend the whole day in the basement working out.
Eating was great again yesterday! Hopefully I will be able to keep it up. I have a girls trip into the city this weekend and we are leaving at 9:30 in the morning so I am hoping to get a good run in before we leave. Should be a interesting evening. I feel kind of bad about leaving the family but I think I need a break, just like DH gets his time away.

Lora** I was gonna ask if these women were overweight b/c if they aren't, then they will be. I would have the same trouble you are having....sometimes its best not to know the cals in some of this stuff! LOL Good job with your workout today!

Wendy** Enjoy your workout, sounds like a tough one.

Judy** Good workout yesterday and enjoy your round of golf!

I will bbl to report my workout!

Lori:)

Holy! Where is everyone?

Im done with my workout. I did my P90X workout, BM2 seg 1 and 4DSBC.
My VS parcel came but my jeans are to big:-( Im trying to think of someone they would fit who would want to buy them b/c Im not real good at going to the post office and returning things, but I guess if I have to I will.

Lori:)

Hello all,

Not being an avid exerciser today. Did get my second good night's sleep, but woke up so very tired and feeling kinda week. Did end up going out again (UGH!) since we had to go out of town right after work. So had a couple pieces of freshly baked bread and a few pieces of a personal sized pizza (very very thin crusted). Wonder if the carbs did it? Have been yawning all day and basically just feel blah!
Am going to try to get motivated to do an outdoor run after work. If I can go home, change and hit the road I'll be good.

Lora - sounds like a good workout, especially with tired leggies. An interesting stretch idea - was the med ball used to help you go a little further than by just stretching yourself? About the foodies - even if they don't look overweight, think of how much better you feel because you are putting valuable foods into your body and you limit your splurges instead of indulging (or over indulging) so often. I sometimes watch others eat all their goodies - like DH for example - and think "I wish". But then I know how I feel after I have not eaten in my normal manner for even a few days and think never mind, once in a while will keep me satisfied. I still wish it wasn't so "in you face though". You are doing well !

Wendy - hope your workout went well. My NROLW Stage 2B's is the first time I had HIIT after the weights. It kicked my behind. I have my "B" workout with HIIT again tomorrow.}( LOL - Jen and I didn't too real well with the food that night, but at least I gave it a second though, Ha ha ! Sometimes things just don't work out like we intend, huh? I will see if I get out today how the running goes - I am sooo tempted and probably should just go for it.

Judy - I haven't gone forward to see what is upcoming in NROLW. How does stage 4 compare to the others? Hope your golf game pans out. The peace and quiet on the course are so great.

Lori - good workout for you today, and the eating too ! Sure can't say that on my end lately, but usually it is only one meal and the others are very good. Guess it will have to do for now. Should be back to normal for me. Hope you have a great weekend away with your friends - we all need it and shouldn't feel bad. One on one time with parents is good for the kids too ! Bummer about the pants ! I was hoping to hear how they fit cuz I keep seeing them in the catalogs, but I'm thinking most of them look like they wouldn't fit my shape so have never tried.

Hey Shirl and Tammy if you make it here today !

Jacque** Its so hard to get a good workout in when you are feeling BLAH isn't it? Sometimes I just tie up my laces and go and I don't even think about what I need to do:) That usually works.
Its a little hard ordering pants on line cause ya never know.I guess I will get a couple new pairs when I am away this weekend. Now its just a pain to ship them back!

Lori:)

Well ladies, before I even came back to read Lori's response, I did just what she suggested. Changed into running clothes, donned the shoes and laced up the laces. My legs felt horrid for the first 30 minutes !x( The first 20 are a little bit up a little down but not bad, then comes about a 1/2 mile that starts at a 2% incline, goes to about a 4 and about 1/2 the hill is about 6%. I had to walk a couple minutes (walked fast though) 'cuz I thought my heart was gonna jump outta my chest! Was a little worried because I have been so tired lately and you know how the brain starts thinking there might be something wrong. I have been really busy and though I don't feel really stressed, it has been a roller coaster of emotions lately. But I plugged away and started thinking about my time and after I crested the hill it was a little more of a low grade incline and the rest was mostly down hill except the last mile.

Time for approx 4.66 miles was 47.25. Most likely the fastest I have timed, but the last time I did this run I felt good and know it was faster.

So I am ready to absolutely die here.}(

And I probably wouldn't have pushed myself if you ladies weren't such cheerleaders :+ in addition to totally motivated peeps !

Until tomorrow - assuming I wake up :p

Good Evening Girls.

I'm saving personals for the morning since it's late. Just wanted to come back to report today's work out.

It ended up being Kettlebell Goddess' full body premix (30min) plus the first half of Interval X+.

I am starting lose my AB motvation big time. I am seeing results so that's not the problem. I think I am just craving bit more variety in my schedule and the KB work each week isn't doing it for me. I think I am going to start doing 1 AB weight work out, 1 KB work out and 1 other f/b weight work out of choice each week. I will continue stick with AB's cardio plan and the eating plan and see what happens. If I continue to see results then great. If not, I am hoping that will light a fire under my butt and get me back on track. We'll see what happens. That being said, I have AB Stage 2 weight work out 2 on tap for Saturday. It may or may not happen. I may sub in a Cathe work out instead. I'll see what I feel like doing. :)

Tomorrow is HIIT/cardio day. I think I am going to do one of the longer CC work outs and call it my HIIT and regular cardio all rolled into one. That will wrap up my HIIT requirements for the week. YAY!:+

Alrighty folks...I'm outta here.
Be back in the morning!:)
