This morning I did WSFL cardio. I used the TM for w/u and then I did the 6 rounds of 60/120 intervals on the Ellipitical. Got my HR up to 165 only. I shortened the recovery periods. I then did the 5 min low intensity on the bike and then I put my weight vest on and did the bike for the next 10 minutes (surprisingly, even on the bike with the vest...the intensity seemed higher). My HR hovered at around 84-87% of max. I then finished the last part punching and kicking the heavy bag. Workout with cooldown and stretch was 63" and I burned 569 calories.

I also did PY4H 2 Surf Edition - Twisted Sister premix 47". This felt too tough. I've become a real power yoga wimp lately. Those super fast sun sal's and all of that standing and balancing on one leg stuff after a tough workout.

Have great workouts everyone. We're taking my niece to see a movie as a going away present. She's moving to Baltimore to live with her "loser" boyfriend. We're not happy about it.

Good Morning Lora and all who follow.

Rest day for me today although I have to admit, I have already considered hitting the gym for a run because I can and changing my rest day to tomorrow!;) Not sure it will happen that way but it's definately a thought!}(

Lora: Nice work out. I don't get in yoga as much as I should. I do good with it for a while and then it peters out. Sorry about your niece. Sometimes you have to let them make thier own mistakes. She'll figure it out over time and come back home I'll bet.

BBL.

Yup, I'm heading to the gym for a date with Grace or Sean and then heading up north for a summer clothes shopping spree with my SIL before having dinner with DH's family and then bringing DS back home.

That being said, this will likely be my last post until later tonight so have a great day everyone!:)

Good morning all,

Today is a rest day for me and I am feeling like I need it not only for my body to recoup but to get something done around the house!

Lora - I'm a total yoga wimp. I enjoy doing it but my shoulders hurt so bad doing moves like downward dog that it doesn't seem to work to well for me and some of those moves are so taxing. But that is the point I guess.}( Sounds like you got your HR up there nicely with all your cardio.

Wendy - I so wish I had some of the energy you other ladies have. Enjoy your run but even more so, your shopping spree. Sounds like you have had a nice relaxing and enjoyable weekend "off-duty". Good for you !

Will BB here and there to see if anyone else is around. Seems like it is a busy busy weekend for most of us.

ETA: Lora, sorry to hear about your niece also. ITA with Wendy that at some point they have to make their own decisions and learn from their mistakes. My 19YO DD is going through some rough ones too and I am amazed at how grown up she is at her young age. I am here for support and definitely put in my .02 X 2, but that's all you can do. Hang in there.

Hello everyone!

Back from the beach and ready to get back into my routine! I missed my Alwyn check-in!

I had a wonderful time though. I brought the kids up to Old Orchard Beach, ME, to my mom and dad's condo. It's on a section of the beach that is private, and very clean, and a little slice of heaven. We got some sun, R&R, did plenty of shopping, and really enjoyed our time together. I got to cook several meals for them, which I just don't seem to get a chance to do much anymore. My mom always picks them up after school and feeds them before I get home from work, so it was so nice to "play mom" for a while. We walked a TON while we were away, and because I did most of the cooking (we only dined out once) the eats were pretty healthy, except for the UNBELIEVABLY delicious homemade fudge that comes in every imaginable combination (Snicker's anyone }( ? Or how 'bout Raspberry Cheesecake?) from Dickinson's Candy Shop that we've made an annual tradition. I think I bought a piece of every flavor. Then there was the Irish Creme truffles and the Tiramisu truffles, and the homemade peanut butter cups...OMG, sinful. So that was the splurge this weekend, but all in all we controlled ourselves pretty well. Unfortunately, that means I have a lot left that came home with me, but I plan on passing that off on mom and dad tomorrow when I see them }( }( }( .

So, I'm going to try to catch up with all the posts since Thursday, but may not be able to address everyone until tomorrow. I have a million things to put away and get ready to be back to the grind in the a.m. Tomorrow will be an AB weights workout. I've had three full days off, and my body feels very well rested and ready to be beaten up again. :7

Catch you all tomorrow~

Jen

Jacque: Hope you had a constructive rest day today!

Jen: Glad you had fun at the beach but I'm glad to have you back here too!

Ran 3 miles this morning. Most of it was with Grace to the tune of ITread 21/30 run intervals but when the work out ended I kept running for a few to even up the mileage to a solid 3. :)

There are people setting off fireworks on my block. I personally hate anyone setting them off EVER if it is not a professional show but that aside, I think it's also too late on a Sunday night for that kind of noise. People are so dang rude! UGH! x(

I had a fun day. SIL and I went to Mandees and Marshalls. I bought a super cute dress that I no more need then man in the moon but I just COULD NOT leave it there!:p I also bought a 2 cute tops, 2 pairs of super light weight cargo pants that roll up into capris, and a pair of flip-flops. I wanted to pick up a pair of shorts but couldn't find anything I liked. I may hit Old Navy this week for that. :)

Y'day I neatened up my dresser drawers as they had gotten quite atrocious. So today after getting home from the inlaws' place I ended up continuing on the same path and re-organized the now neat drawers, cleaned out and organized what was hanging in my closet and cleaned out DH's armoir. I don't do these things very often as I rarely find the patience for it but when no one is around (which is rare), it's usually the time I have the patience to get stuff like that done. I love to clean and organize or whatever when no one is home for some reason.:D

Tomorrow is my rest day since I worked out today. I have to take DS to the doctor for his well visit in the morning anyway and then at nap time perhaps I'll find something else constructive to do since I'm on a roll!:p

Have a great night ladies.
Talk to you all in the morning.
