Good Morning Girls.

It's a sad day for me today. My BF's mom whose been battling cancer for 10+ years passed away yesterday evening. So sad. :(

Today's work out will be a TM run. I am hoping for atleast 5 miles. :)

Gotta go get everything ready for DS to head to his 2nd day of school today! I'm lovin' this!:D

Good morning,

Got my shoulders, calves & core in last night, then did a 43 min run = 3.85 miles while watching my last season of 24 !

My back is still a bit sore from the drive this past weekend combined with deadlifts and the core work from last night. That being said - I'm skipping my AM workout and moving the whole thing until tonight in hopes that I will losen up by then. Otherwise will take a rest day and do 4DS BC & bi's and tri's tomorrow. Am hoping for the motivation for about a 6 mile run this weekend. Just feeling the need to run again.

Wendy - fun to hear you are enjoying "school" for your DS. Those little bits of freedom that come here and there are sure boosters to help make it through. Was laughing as DS called last night and was telling me how his wife emailed him at work the other day saying that DGS was driving her nuts. He's just 14 months and a very good baby, but even as I was having the chat with DS all I heard every few minutes was "PEYTON ! ! ! NO ! ! !" Of course I was giggling 'cuz I think they need a little bit of a challenge ! :p

Enjoy your run and soo very sorry to hear about your BF's mother. That "C" word affects way too many and usually way too young. You are all in my thoughts.

Hola chiquitas!!

Did a quick run on the tread this morning. Since the kids started back to school I've been cutting my workouts a little short, but what I don't get in time I make up for in speed. So I ran for 20 minutes at 7.0 mph. For me, that was fast.

Wendy, so SO sorry about your BF's mom. That's painful. I hope the family is able to find some peace.

Jacque, are you feeling looser yet? Hope you get in the workout you want to tonight.

Just got back from my lunch hour walk. It's so hot today that it's going to take me an hour to cool off! Oh, I'm not too pretty right now.

Wow Jen - I can do 7.0 for a few minutes - don't think I could do it for 20 ! Nice job "chiquita". :p

And I am feeling a bit looser already. My coworker has been getting a cold all week - she's out of sick time so is here today coughing, sneezing, sniffing, etc. and I feel like I have caught her cold again ! UGH UGH UGH. Am hoping the headache doesn't get worse so I can feel somewhat energetic to get my workout in.

Why can't some people not spread their germs? Somehow she gets me sick every time and when DH has a cold I rarely get it? Oh well, "caca pasa", eh?

Hi Girls.

I ran 5.18 miles with Grace after work today. Good work out but yesterday and today felt tougher then usual. I think I need to adjust to this new work out schedule. I'm not used to jumping right into a work out after work. I usually come home and unwind first and often times nap first. :p I am sure my body will re-adjust soon though. It has no other choice! LOL :D

DS did not have a good start to his school day today. He was screaming. He didn't want me to leave him. When I left he was hysterical. It's not like him. I felt awful. :(

When I went to pick him up this afternoon the teacher said it didn't take long for him to calm down but that he'd peed himself in the meantime cause he was so upset. Poor kid. LOL Right now he's fast asleep on the couch. He sat down to watch a movie and just passed out. Poor kid isn't used to the new schedule with the really short nap time yet. He NEVER sleeps anywhere but his crib/bed or the car so I KNOW he needs it. I just left him there. He looks so darned cute!:)

Jacque: I'm with you on the 7.0 TM run. I can do it for a few minutes. 20 is about 18 more then I'm capable of!:p I actually used to be able to run faster for longer on the TM but I have yet to fully recover from the issues I was having with the TM around the time of my half marathon. I used to be able to run at speeds up to 7.5 and now I'm lucky to squeak out 7.0 for a minute or two! Forget about 7.5 these days. :(:mad::( It makes me mad BUT I am speeding up on the road and ULTIMATELY that is where it counts, right? :cool: My DS was a good baby and he drove me nuts too. What I wouldn't give to have those days back! LOL

Jen: Good job on the 7.0 for 20 minutes! Even at my best I don't think I could have done that! You rock, girl!:) Sorry about the sweaty lunch hour walk. How long did it take you to recoup from it?
