I see that 'Steady State Run' is suggested in the rotations. Because I have bad knees, I can NOT run. Can I do other cardio exercises and get the same results ? I was thinking maybe studio cycling as the alternative.

I think cycling or an elliptical would be a great alternative.

I have been substituting some step in place of the steady state run. If it's a long run I might do lowmax if it's short I might do some portion of a workout including step. If you have access to an elliptical as a substitute that sounds lovely.
