Hello Ladies,

Another rainy day here. But looking on the bright side, my garden is looking lovely, lol.

Jen, I have been looking for work possibilities, as far as getting email notifications via Monster.com about things that may match what I'm looking for, but so far nothing has really been a match for me. When I get back from vacation, I may have to get more active with my search. I have been hoping things improve at work, but so far, it's not happening. Too much conflict, and sometimes I let my emotions get away with me. Yesterday I was upset about the lack of confidentiality at work by the assistant supervisor, and I approached my immediate supervisor about it, and ended up telling her exactly how unhappy I am. I didn't intend to say soo much, but once I got going, I just could not hold back. I feel like I've bottled up soo much for soo long, and I just can't do it anymore. I told her I was contemplating talking directly to H.R. about my situation, and she told me we can go meet with HR together if I'd like. I said no, IF I decide to talk to H.R., I will do so one on one. My Supervisor and I have worked together for over 20 years, so she knows that I am responsible and reliable. Unlike the younger girls she's been hiring lately, but she really needs to step it up and try to make things a little better for us. I don't hold out much hope, and I know when I return from vacation, I will need to get more active with my search. I think I'm letting this bad economy hold me back. Fear is getting the best of me, unfortunately :(

Cathy, that is great, that this is your 2nd time around with STS. How were your results the first time around? I am looking forward to repeating STS when my shoulder heals up. Although, I want to give CLX a go first, since I've had it a while. Still no rain for you? My parents live in FL, and they had a really dry spell too, and now it's been raining just about every day. I hope it lets up by the time I go over there for vacation. I need a break from all the rain, lol.

Oh today's workout was one of the Taebo Live Advanced workouts - Volume 8

Christine, how are you? I hope you are enjoying this rainy day.

I'm off with my daughter in a few for a movie, dinner and we'll probably go buy her daddy something for father's day :)

Have a great day everyone.

actually iris, i was a bit disappointed in my results. ireally did n't see alot. i am beginning to see some now, for some reason, i am a bit more defined than i was, but not like i thought. however, i did disc 3,legs, yesterday and i am soooo sore today. i was not sore first time around. i am hurtin, and then, like a dummy, i rode horses this am and it was not pleasant on the bottom.:) no rain, it is really bad, i rode out in the back pasture and the grass is brown and crunchy. it is so awful. the field next door is planted in hay grazer and it is burning up in this heat. on top of no rain, it is so dern hot. been 100 for nearly a week, got a break the last couple day, only in the 90's, but now going back to 100's, so all that does is just bake everything more. it is rather depressing. we usually stay outside w/the horse til around 1, but we were in by 11 today, just too hot. i amnot looking forward to this the rest of the summer. it is too early to be this hot.
have a nice rest of the weekend

"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" (Mark 8:34-36)

Hello ladies!

Iris, I'm glad you got to spend some time with your sister! I know you were hoping for that. I'm sorry you're still struggling at work. I'm sure it felt good to unload to your supervisor! It helps that you've had a long relationship. What movie are you seeing with your daughter? I really want to see that movie "My Sister's Keeper", but it doesn't come out until the end of the month. Looks like a real tear jerker!

Cathy, do you have horses on your property? I looooovvvee animals!! My dream is to live on a big farm with all sorts of animals and to have our own sanctuary for cats, dogs and any creature of God's creation! :) Wow, it has been real hot where you live! I guess you have a/c? :p It feels like it's been raining here forever!!

Jen, how is your day going? Did you get your grocery shopping done? Good luck writing your paper!

Today was a rest day for me from workouts. For some reason, I am only sore in my hamstrings from doing Legs & Glutes yesterday. That really surprised me!! I guess my legs are stronger from walking/running?? I finally got a new pair of running sneakers today, hooray!! I got a pair of Asics and they are soooooo comfy! I can't wait to use them! They're really roomy in the toe, which I like and needed. I'm cat sitting for my sister this weekend too. We were at her house this morning to feed them and will head back over tonight. Other than that, it's been a lazy day indoors because of the rain. I just made some "banana chocolate chip" bread, so I'm off to see if it tastes any good! For some reason I am terrible at baking, even when I follow the recipes exactly!! LOL :p

Have a blessed day everyone!

yes, christine, i have horses, chickens, dogs, cats and fish in the water trough. and, yes they are fun, but don't kid yourself. livestock is ALOT of work. and the older i get , the more i wonder why i have all these critters. i have always loved dogs and horses and have ridden most of my life. my granddaughter is now absolutely horse crazy just like i was, so guess i'm stuck with them, cuz my son grew up with them and he knows how much work they are and does not want them at his place. :) he has 4 sheep and chickens. which i don't want the dumb sheep. i don't like sheep or goats. they are a nuisance. however, the sheep are good eating.

and , yes, it is sooooo hot, we rode this morning and it was miserable. we were in the house by 11, it was just unbearable. hot & humid. and i worked this evening, (i work at an equine clinic) and was dripping when i got done. it's just gross. but, that is the way it is here in the summer. if i was rich, i would be here in the winter and go to east tenn. in the summer. most of my family are in tenn.
anyway, ya'll have a good weekend, gonna vege now.

Hello Ladies.
Paper is done so I was able to attend worship at my local church. It was great to be there. Sunday, I head down to the other city. I might meet a Catheite there in the future since she is a member of the church I have been attending.
Have a Blessed Night. Christine, your bread sounds good.

Jen

Hello Ladies,

Rest day for me today. I'm not pushing myself nearly as much as I used to. I am now taking 2 full rest days per week. My body needs the rest, I could tell yesterday that I was pushing to get through my workout. Hope that's normal, and not a sign of old age, lol. I am 46 after all, lol.

Cathy, thanks for sharing that link on full body STS. That's an interesting concept. I am actually doing Muscle Max lately, because I want to do full body weight workouts. It's good to see that I can do something similar with STS.

I didn't make it to church this morning. I was up and motivated to go, but my daughter would not get up this morning, and it's soo much easier for me to talk myself out of going when I don't have company.

Jen, congratulations on getting your paper done :) It must feel soo good everytime you get the school work out of the way :)

Christine, I hope you're enjoying this Sunday. We finally got a little break from the rain, although we expect it to return tomorrow.

I got to visit with my sister again today, and also my 10 year old niece. She's been staying with my aunt about 2 hours away while my sister takes her realtor's course, so I finally got to see her today.

Helping my daughter get packed up for Florida. I'm surprised she doesn't seem excited.

Keep me in your prayers as the new week gets started, that I can get through work without feeling that crazy stress. I appreciate it.

Have a great night ladies.
