Alison Sweeney on the Biggest Loser

I just watched this week's Biggest Loser. I have nothing against Alison Sweeney but I don't think she was the best choice to be the host. She speaks softly and her voice lowers at the end of her sentences. She shows little or no emotion and has no oomph. I know I would like a host that shows more personality. I was not a Caroline Rhea fan but geez, ya think they could have found someone that shows character! I hope she's not back next year. Anyone else agree?

Also, when they come back from a commercial break, why do they have to repeat exactly what they showed going into the commercial break? O.K., I'm ranting on a Friday morning. Great way to start the day! x( :+

I don't know--I kinda like her. I never connected with Caroline Rhea. Her voice just grated on my nerves. I think Alison is a fresh addition. I haven't noticed her lowering her voice at the ends of her sentences, though. I'm going to look for that now!! ;)

I used to watch her on Days of Our Lives too. She's one of those people that look better the older they get. I think she's very pretty.
 
I love her so much. I have also watched Days since I was in the womb! Haha! Anyway, I am sure they picked her b/c of her own weight loss success. She is great in my opinion. I really think she is caring too. Caroline didn't care at all and always cut them off when they talked. It was embarrassing to watch her. I couldn't stand Caroline Rhea. Yuck. Just my thoughts.

Phew Gayle. I was beginning to think I was alone in my club. Again, I have nothing against her and I know she has lots of fans but she just wasn't doing it for me as host. We all have different opinions and just wanted to share mine. Thanks for providing company for me! :p

I've only seen part of one episode this season (and not much in previous seasons), but I agree: Allison Sweeney is not a good host. There's something unemotional about her that is off-putting. Caroline Rae seemed to connect with, and care about, the contestants more, and have more of a presence.
