Alias fans? What's up with this?

O.K., so I was watching Alias last night. There is a scene where Sloane and Nadia go somewhere, supposedly to see some guy to get some info, but they end up going into a cave to pick up a Rimbaldi artifact, SLoane falls through the floor, is pierced by shards of glass....then when we come back after the commercial break, there they are in the conference room talking about something else, as if the scene never happened. What? Was that supposed to be a flashback? A flashforward? A dream? Did somebody show the wrong part of the episode at the wrong time? I think I'm a smart person, but I didn't get what happened. HELP!

Hi Kathryn,

It was a flashback to a year earlier. If you remember earlier in the season Sloan and Nadia had a conversation about how Rambaldi had affected him. This scene was more of explanation of what they had been through together.

Just wanted to add that I missed it also at first. I had to rewind the tape and noticed the caption ...one year earlier. If you blink you can miss so much with this show.

Wow, I didn't get that either. I had no idea they were having a flashback. My dh and I were confused at that scene as well.
