Albany NY. Info. needed please and thank you

Hello Friends of the Forum.

Today, I arrived safely back from Albany to MI. During my time there, I was truly impressed with the whole area. Please I need info. on the economy, quality of life, job market, real estate on the Capital Region area plus anything else of interest too. And, where are the bike trails? I only saw shared road signs are some busy highways. To be honest, I am dabbling and investigating this subject cause it's a part of the country I could handle living in.
GOD only knows if anything will come of it. My family drove me all over the area on Saturday so I've seen the Capital, downtown, the university, hospitals, airport, some observation point on top of a hill, Brentwood, etc...

Thanks in Advance and Have a Great Week.

I do not live in Albany but about an hour + 20 minutes south of there. We drill in Albany once a month at the reserve center. I can give you some info on the bike trails: There is a 41 mile long Hudson-Mohawk Bikeway that connects Albany, Schenectady and Troy along the Hudson and Mohawk rivers. You can call 1-800-962-8007 for a free map. There are 20 miles of multi use trails that connect to neighboring trail systems that are supposed to be popular with Albany based riders. This info comes from a book I recently purchased called Hudson River Valley by Nikki Goth Itoi. I have a friend who just moved to Delmar NY from Cornwall NY. Delmar is right outside of Albany. Her home is in a nice little rural neighborhood.
HTH a little.

Jennifer,

I just sent you an email, my friend Paige is a real estate agent in Albany. I am sure she can give you the information you are looking for. I just sent you her contact info.

Thank you Carola and JenG for the info., I do appreciate alot.
My sister didn't tell me about a bike trail at all, so that's a major plus for Albany, for sure!!

Carola, I did get your email on your realtor, whom I will send a note to. Thanks for your help.

It's too soon to tell what my decision will be. But, my next visit will involve the trail.
