<--LOVES Sophie's new chic hairdo!! :D
<--hopes everyone is doing better today than yesterday
-Ms. Nancy Pants

<---waves a big hello to Nancy!
<---is moving <---'s entire post here - must have posted at the same time
<---thinks it's a very fine day because <--- is Not at work
<---is sorry Nancy and Robin have to work this weekend
<---hopes Shelley got that pile of stuff her boss dumped on her under control
<---thinks Melody's kids have been sick for way too long and they need to hurry and get better
<---is totally, completely zapped and kind of down in the dumps
<---can't place a finger on exactly why
<---is just tired of running in circles all the time
<---is tired of bad elbows, and now thinks it's affecting the wrists
<---is incredibly grateful for a 3-day weekend
<---will move nice and slow today, enjoy some yardwork, bake some bread, and not hurry
<---except, of course, when doing Cardio By Cathe, when moving fast is a good thing
<---missed y'all yesterday but just didn't have the energy to get up a half hour earlier to post in the a.m.; then was in bed by 8:30 p.m.!
<---will check back later to see if anybody's around

<--waves good morning to Shannon!
<--says we were posting at the same time
<--tells Shannon to use the 3-day weekend to take care of herself and take it easy
<--wonders what Shannon means by "bad elbows?"
<--thought Shannon had posion ivy?
-Ms. NP

<---explains the elbow thing to Nancy:

It's called cubital tunnel syndrome, which is the same thing as carpal tunnel syndrome, only it affects the elbows. Caused by too much constant bending, which places pressure on the ulnar nerve (the "funny bone"). Makes that area of the elbows ache, and also causes the pinky and ring fingers to go numb. Been to the doc a while back - about the only thing I can actually do is move them around a lot, stretch, and keep them straighter. The only other option left is surgery, and I'm trying to avoid that at all costs

<---does have poison ivy, but not bad. It's already done itching.

<---waves goodmorning to NancyPantsy and Shannondelray
<---hopes Nancy can get her work cleaned up quickly
<---hopes Shannon has a relaxing long weekend
<---knows how Shannon feels aboot being down
<---has very sick kitty who will probably have to be put to sleep if she makes it until Tues, DS who is just plain hard to love and DD who doens't seen to want to grow up
<---sometimes is happy to come to work and escape the family
<---will try to accent the positive though
<---heard forecast for a lovely weekend and hopes all enjoy it

<--waves hi to Robinella!
<--assumes that Robin is at the office already?
<--is still at home drinking coffee
<--thanks Shannon for the explanation
<--must have missed when Shannon posted about her elbow
<--is so sorry to hear about what Shannon is going through with the elbow
<--wonders if Shannon can stop doing the movement that caused the condition originally?
<--is so sorry about Robinella's poor kitty
<--knows how sad it is to see a pet suffer and hopes that kitty will soon be out of her misery
<--also knows how sad it is to lose a beloved pet
<--{{{{{{{{{{{{ROBIN}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
-Ms. Pants

<---is very sorry to hear about Robin's kitty and wonders if it wouldn't be better to call a vet's emergency service and have her put to sleep instead of suffering?
<---wonders if Robin feels that way about DS and DD? ;) Just kidding
<---saw Robin's post from yesterday aboutu DD and is glad she has another chance in college
<---thinks maybe DD will grow up a little bit now... no college means no job nowadays
<---can't recall anything about DS - sorry!
<---agrees with Robin's efforts to accent the positive - just can't quite get over the hump lately though
<---will keep trying!
<---hearing from everyone here certainly helps!

<--agrees with Shannon's comments about Robin's DD (also saw the post yesterday)
<--has tried to imagine what it would be like to have a child who was constantly craving something, and to have to be the one to constantly say "no" and admits that it sounds about as difficult as parenting can get
<--isn't trying to be negative, just wants Robin to know how much <-- appreciates her position and how amazed <-- is that Robin usually copes so well and has such a great attitude
<--really admires Robinella
<--is sorry to get so serious on this thread this morning!
<--says the temp is expected to go to 80 today, so <-- is going to get lots of cold drinks at the office to try to stay cool
-Ms. Nancy Pants

<---thanks to Shannon and Nancy for the support
<---didn't mean to be such a bummer
<---'s kitty is sick, but doesn't seen to be in any pain - she sleeps alot, hasn't been eating or drinking and is unsteady - vet couldn't find anything after much testing and suggested doing a bone marrow, since her white and red blood counts were low - she is elderly and we didn't want to put her through the procedure and probably wouldn't have treated whatever they found - we decided to keep her comfortable as long as we could - she seems to be "happy" and purrs when you pet her - if she seems to be suffering, we will call an emergency vet
<---tells Shannon DS is 21 and has Prader Willi Syndrome, most well know because of having an uncontrollable appetite. He is hungry all the time and spends his life trying to get food. Our frig and cupboards are all locked. He is mentally retarded and has behavioral problems, usually beening argumentative and throwing tantrums. We are waiting for space to open up at a residence specific for his syndrome where he will have better control over access to food, an execise program, a job, friends, and activities we can't provide.
<---but is very happy to have friends here who support and listen
<---thanks Cathe for providing workouts that help reduce life stress

<---tells Nancy <--- would love to stop doing what originally caused the problem, but it's called "typing," which = "job", sooo....
<---says the temp here is supposed to be 93 with at least 70% humidity
<---thinks <--- has Nancy beat there!;-)
<---has AC running!!!!

<--good morning Nancy, Shannon, and RObin, (and followers)
<--sorry about your cat, and family situation. <--is sending PEACE vibes to you and the little kitty.
<--knows all to well about losing pets
<--losing one of our horses is the hardest
<--hope your elbows heal Shannon. Funny, last 2 weeks, <-- pinky and ring finger on right hand been tingly, seems typing increases it!!
<--been typing lots in these threadss lately!!!
<--Nancy, try to enjoy work, if that is possible!!
<--just had son say "mom, we have a serious problem." Oh boy

<--OK, just broken steering wheel on car, which DS's are attempting to fix with all their tools, all over the floor
<--getting ready to head out to plant all <--new flowers!!

<---waves at megadoo and hopes it was a toy car with a broken steering wheel ?!!?
<---hopes all the gardeners around here have a wonderful weekend and ask them to step over to <---'s place when they are done with theirs
<---loves the look of a well maintained garden and lawn, but has 2 brown thumbs, as well as 8 brown fingers
<---doesn't even know where to begin so just plants same old red and white petunias and yellow and orange marigolds
<---yawn!!!!

<--sure your yard is beeeuuuutiful RObin!!
<--yes, it was a toy car, but it is a real tragedy you know!!
<--kiddies are buggin to get out, so better go for little while

<---well, DH says mowed weeds look like mowed grass
<---would never ever describe <---'s yard as beautiful
<---was visited by a friend and her fiance, who has a landscaping business, last Nov
<---was thrilled when it snowed and he couldn't see terrible lawn and weed-filled flower beds
<---will stick to petunias and marigolds

<--- waves a happy Memorial Day weekend to Nance, Shannon, Robin, Meaghan, and all who follow
<--- slept in late because she got to bed late
<--- is waiting for the coffee to brew
<--- 's DH is out getting a massage and then we're going to figure out how to spend the weekend
<--- is sorry Nancey Pants and Robinella have to work
<--- is sorry Shannon hasn't found relief for her elbows and hopes her new office furniture will help some
<--- is sorry about Robins Kitty, DS and DD
<--- thinks it's time for a group hug
http://bestsmileys.com/hugging/3.gif
<--- 's kitty puked up a hairball in her bed last night:eek: x(
<--- is trying to think of something witty or funny to say but is coming up empty
<--- thinks it's hard to be witty before coffee
<--- also has a brown thumb and invites Meaghan to plant her flowers
<--- can't think of anything to do this weekend
<--- wonders if there's a concert or something somewhere
<--- is just rambling now and better get that coffee

Michlee

<-- can't handle Robin's life today
<-- sends hugs instead
<-- fell asleep on the couch at 8:00 after going to see Xmen 3 with DH yesterday
<-- isn't particularly enjoying anything these days
<-- is going to the law office today because <-- can't get in early during the week and there are a few things for <-- to do and <-- has a leg wax appt around the corner from work so why not
<-- has to start reading crim law now
<-- gives more hugs and hugs and hugs
<-- asks Nance if she saw the article about how women who get less sleep and eat less weigh more than women who sleep more and eat more?
<-- has been depressed ever since. it sounds so easy, but <-- has been a perfect example of the 16-year 70,000 woman study over the past year
<-- is going to go find some breakfast and make tea and read crim law and hopefully get in a real workout today
<-- hugs again

<---runs in, arms outstretched, screaming Meeeeeeeeccccceeeelllleeee
<---gives Michele a big hug and tells her to find something delightful to do with her DH
<---runs back to work, still screaming
<---adds that the bacteria seem to enjoy screaming
<---expects to be smacked in the head by co-worker who doesn't like screaming

<--- feels so loved by Robinella!
<--- is really happy to see Robin and is loving her right back
<--- asks her to be careful with the bacteria...thinks that's how everybody got sick last week;)
<--- tells Robin <--- will smack any co-worker that smacks her
<--- does not mean to poke fun at Ame but sites her post from yesterday where she said she was "in near heaven"--lol!
<--- thinks Ame suffers from frequent highs and lows
<--- keeps telling Ame something's gotta give because she has too much on her plate
<--- thinks Ame is angst ridden and gives her a {{{{{giant hug}}}}}
<--- won't say it again but tells Ame one last time, "QUIT THAT FRIGGIN JOB"
<--- agrees that Ame is not seeing results because of her chronic fatigue
<--- wants Ame to know she loves her and will shut up now
<--- needs to scrounge up some brekkie now
<--- can't wait for her futtersnutbutter
<--- ordered the cinnamon pecan, chocolate walnut, and chocolate hazelnut butters:9 }(

Moochele

<--is at the office and spent the first few minutes just shaking with fear over how much there is to do
<--keeps telling herself it's all good
<--tells Ame that she did not read the specific article, but has read similar articles and LOVES that sleep is a great weight loss tool
<--has frequently tried in vain to convince women on these boards that if you need more time to workout, take it from something other than sleep time, but her advice always falls on deaf ears because society still thinks that sleeping is being lazy
<--thinks more people should listen to <-- :+ :p }(
<--feels better seeing you all here
<--is now going to jump in and tackle something
<--but where to start?? :(
-Ms. Pants
