Adobe Flash Player

Hi,

Hoping you can help here. Do we need Adobe Flash Player to play the videos that Cathe posts eg, the clips of workouts, clips of "Live" workouts etc?

I am having problems with Adobe Flash player and all internet questions/answers say that it is problematic for virus hackers, and should be uninstalled from computers, it is no longer needed. Web sites like YouTube have switched to HTML format...

Before I uninstall, I wanted to make sure I would still be able to see any videos posted here.

The clips in the forum are HTML5 so you should be able to see them without flash player installed.

Thanks for the response.. I had "heard" that YouTube gave up Adobe Flash Player and was using HTML, but I went over there this morning just to see what they say in their "FAQ" and it says to use YouTube you must install Adobe Flash Player"....HUH?

I keep getting this pop up error box that is very annoying and is making me suspicious that I may have a virus....virus software is not detecting anything...

I don't have flash removed from my system but I do have plugins blocked in my browser (chrome) and YouTube works for me

I use IE.....how do I block plug ins? maybe if I do this I will stop getting the annoying Adobe Flash player error box every few minutes

Try this: tools | internet options | programs tab | manage add-ons button | show: all add-ons | right click on shockwave flash object | select disable.
