Adding Lotte Berk into rotation

Hi everyone -

I was interested to see how people add Lotte Berk into their Cathe rotation. I generally only have one hour to workout, so adding it to the end of a Cathe video would not really be an option for me. My schedule now is doing Cathe weight lifting videos 3 days a week and running for 40 minutes 3 days a week with one day of rest.

Could I tack on Lotte Berk High Round Assets to the end of a run, or would that not give me enough rest for my leg muscles between Cathe weight lifting videos?

Thanks! :)

Hi Diane!

Not a lot of people do Lotte around here. I'm sure if you asked this question at the boards of videofitness.com you'd get a lot of answers! I have the Lotte workouts and Bar Method, which is similiar to Lotte, only longer. I haven't done Lotte in a while because I'm doing a Bar Method rotation right now, but what I used to do was tack on Lotte after a Cathe UB workout. When you do Cathe strength, which ones do you do? Total body tapes or do you work certain muscle groups on certain days? When I was doing Lotte I didn't do any Cathe lower body workouts so I wasn't in fear of overtraining my legs. I think Lotte after a run would be great because you do a lot of stretching in Lotte. However, just make sure your muscles aren't too fatigued from the run, because Lotte calls for a lot of deep muscle contraction to be effective.

Hope this helps!

Leslie: Bar Method Rotation?

Leslie,

I just got the Bar Method DVDs and have been thinking about how I could work them into a rotation. Would you mind sharing what you've been doing? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

RE: Leslie: Bar Method Rotation?

Hi Lisa!

Well, I'm kind of pressed for time when it comes to workouts so I try to limit my cardio to just a half hour 3 times a week. I love CTX and Timesaver for this reason. If I do a timesaver workout I can do cardio, weights then add a Bar workout which clocks in at a little over an hour, depending on which Timesaver I do. That leaves the next day for yoga. I like to devote a whole hour to yoga because I find the more flexibility training I do, the more Cathe I can do! Sometimes if I don't have an hour in the morning to work out I'll do a Cathe weight or step workout then, and in the evening do a Bar Method workout. I don't know what Cathe tapes you have so I can't be that specific. If you let me know I may be able to figure out a rotation for you. In a nutshell, I do Bar at least twice a week. BTW, I have found these workouts to be more effective is slimming down my pear shape than any standing leg workout, plus they're less stressful on my knees! Another thing, I use light weights for upper body when doing BM so I don't overwork those muscles. I prefer Cathe for upper body work anyway.:)
