I have been reading about the antioxidant properties of this berry but don't know where to obtain it. Does anyone use it or know a good product that contains it? Thanks

I buy it frozen and make a smoothie with it. Usually I add frozen blueberries, 1/2 banana and either water or juice.......sometimes soy milk. Some days I add flaxseed or protein powder.
I LOVE the taste of it.
Caribou Coffee had an acai smoothie over the summer this year and last and I got hooked on them. They are EXPENSIVE though so now I make them at home.

I buy frozen Sambazon Açai (you can buy it from their site www.sambazon.com , or ask your local health-food store to order it).

I buy the plain, and partially thaw 2 packs, then break them into chunks and blend with frozen dark sweet cherries or other berries, agave nectar, and some pure vanilla extract. Makes a nice, somewhat 'melty' sorbet.

I also have blended a thawed pack of it in chocolate soy milk (the flavor mixes well with chocolate).

The HFS I go to sells both the frozen packages and liquid drinks. I have a friend from Brazil and she was really happy to find that she could get it locally because she missed not having it.

I actually drink Bossa Nova Acai Juice usually available in the organic section of your local food store. It is really yummy and not to sweet. It is expensive though.

try Monavie it's a blend on 19 fruit, in which main ingredient is acai berry. It's a nutritional drunk with phytonutrients and antioxidants found in fresh fruits.

acai berries and weight loss?

I've been reading that in addition to the antioxidant benefits that this berry is supposed to help with weight loss. Any experiences?
Cheers,
-jane
