Hello ladies-

I am wondering if any of you can help me with this question. Before becoming pg, my hr was always on the high side when exercising around 170 or so. Now that I'm pg, is it ok for it to still go that high since that was what it was before or is there some other number I should watch for?

Also, at what point do you stop doing ab work and/or weight training on your back?

You would think I would know this since this is #3 but I feel like I've forgotten everything!!:)

Thanks,
Jean

I mnot ure what # you should be looking for exactly but I was told that if a women is pregnant then her HR tends to be higher anyway, so you can't really go by that.
Ive read a few times that you are suppose to be able to have a conversation when you are working out, while pregnant. More steady state cardio and not so much high impact/interval training.
I think you can keep up the weight work on your back until you are 3 monthes and then change it up a bit. You could probably do some chest work with a step inclined so you aren't flat on your back for a little while.
As for ab work, Im not sure.
Lori:)

Thanks for the reply! I've quickly realized that interval training is not for me right now but I am trying to keep up with the weight training and cardio!

Thanks,
Jean
