Abdominal Belts-Do They Work For You?

Ivy

Cathlete
I've been seeing a lot about those belts that you put in while working out and with some of them you can use a cream underneath the belt to help you sweat more. Now, I have to say that I don't know that I believe this belt will actually help to trim my waistline, but I do have the tendency to stick out my stomach when I should be holding it in so I'm thinking it would help to remind me of the correct posture both during exercise and after. Does anyone have one of these?

Thanks

I do own one of these belt. I have had it for a very long time --- more than ten years still in the box
not used:eek::eek::D LOL. I checked it and it is operational. I didn't buy it expecting fat loss, gaining
more muscular strength. Neither did I thought correcting my posture:);)

That said thanks for reminding me. Sorry I can't answer your question but will be reading this thread with
interest. ATB getting an answer:)

Without seing the person it is difficult to identify what is causing a "sticking out stomach" posture.
It could be caused by a bad habit and/or by a skeleton congenital defect --- Biomechanic.
By no mean, I meant to quote it can not be corrected.

A kyphotic posture --- Rounded shoulder and/or a sticking in pelvis aka anterior pelvis can
cause this sticking out stomach posture/Look.

Rounded shoulder can be corrected by strengthening all deltoid, mainly Rear-posterior deltoid.
This is what help walking tall and proud;):)

There is a previous thread discussing this topic. I will try to retrieve it:)

Thanks, yeah I think my problem is just forgetfulness. I just need to remind myself core tight, sometimes when working out your remembering so many things it can be easy to realize your not tightening your core. I think I may get one.
