I guess I still have "issues"..this one is for a few moms at the local softball fields..a few years ago...
I once knew a woman-a mother, a wife
Who never could seem to put down fork or knife
I bet that you know her, but not by her name
She's the invisible one, on the side, at the game
Dressed in her clothing aimed to disguise
the lumps, the bumps, the massive thighs
What a pretty face, you notice she has
If only-if only- my gosh..see her a**?
She sits out of life while others play
Maybe tomorrow will be the day
But then it happens, a corner is turned
She puts into practice all that she's learned
Beginning to conjure some self respect
She pops a workout into her set
Undertaking a journey, once too hard to face
Now she's the one setting the pace
A few years later you meet her again
Where is that woman you saw, back then?
She's smiling, she's funny-quick and alert
Confidence climbing, shedding the hurt
What happened, you ask her-she looks so much better
(Than you did in that very same sweater)
A modest smile appears on her face
"Oh thank you", she replies, with a touch of grace
"I just eat healthy, and exercise-"
You notice a light appears in her eyes
It galls you that she has accomplished so much
Today you'll have envy with your fast-food lunch
I once knew a woman, a mother-a wife
Who pushed away from the table and picked up a life.

ETA: Yikes, that was kinda heavy for a fun thread. Let me try again:
If I do 50 low-ends, will you forgive my poem?
I promise not to cry, I promise not to moan.
I really like you posters, and I didn't mean to quench
The laughter or the playfulness found within this thread.
I know! I'll put in Imax; I'll do it just three times-
by then I'll be too tired to attempt another rhyme!
