Catherine,

This sort of reminds me of, "when life gives you lemons..." but much more eloquently spoken (and speaks more toward the character of the person making the lemonade)! Certainly words to live by when faced with challenging situations!

p.s. your dog is absolutely adorable!

I like "what doesn't kill you just makes you want to die". but yes yours is much better. mine will usually get a smile though.

ROTFLMAO!!

Catherine, what has you waxing philosophical anyway? It's true -- the manner in which we respond to our circumstances reveals our true character. I'm so freaking glad nobody saw how I responded when the mechanic told me how much it was going to cost to fix my SUV :p

Thanks for this quote...it has definitely gotten me thinking, especially with what is going on in our family lately.

Not to go into too much detail, but my MIL has been treating my husband and me like doormats lately, with the excuse that she is old and life has been rough on her. So apparently that gives her the right to treat the rest of us like dirt. *sigh*

If only she had chosen to deal with her circumstances differently....
