A little overwhelmed about "Kick Max"

Hi All!

About a month ago, I ordered Kick Max because it looked really good, tough, and somewhat simple to understand.

WELL...............you know how Cathe says to watch all of her workouts before you try them..........I did this last week and I had a feeling of nervousness.

I know I need to try this once and for all, and I am sure I will love it once I get the hang of all the moves, but............does anyone have any advice for a "somewhat Cathe beginner" (ME!) before I try out this workout DVD?

Thank you so much! I am sure I will love it! :)

Sure, break it down into its componets. Do the warm-up and the kick and punch combos first, add in as many challenges (there are 10) as you want/are able. Or go to the leg conditioning drills after the kick and punch combos. Or try a pre-mix. There are lots of options to get a good workout. Because of my bad knees I tend to skip or modify the high impact challenges. Hope this helps. Deb

Hey Amy- KickMax was my first Cathe workout also, now I have tons! Trust me, the first time I tried to do it I was cursing at her and couldn't make it through the whole thing. Now, years later KickMax is actually "easy" for me... the blasts are still challenging but nothing like the used to be. So, the good news is that is what Cathe can do for your workout ability, I never thought it would be easy but break into segments & stay with Cathe b/c she is the best out there!

Thanks Jen!

I will give it a whirl this weekend, and I am sure I will get it with just a little time.

:)

I love Cathe, she is the BEST out there! I agree!

:)

Thanks!

Amy

Kick Max was my first Cathe workout as well and I never thought I'd get through it. Now I have 10 Cathe DVDs and while Kick Max isn't easy I certainly don't find it as intimidating as I used to.

Try the premixes first - they're a good way in. I did those for ages before I tried doing the whole thing.

Good luck
Ronne;)

RE: A little overwhelmed about

i agree that kickmax has great premixes to get you started.

i love kickmax because you can make it as hard or as easy as you want. once you get the rhythm of the combos, they will become easier for you. i like to use the leg conditioning drills as an add on, too. good luck!`
