A few questions

I am interested in knowing if there is anyway that you know of that i can slim down ..... it sounds easy but i am aproaching 42 very rapidly and through the years i have aquierd a very large amount of muscle :-( i am also of petite stature ........... do you think there is any way to slim down and loose the muscle?

p.s. when is your new catalog comming out? You and your crew look wonderful on your fit tv programs ..... keep up the good work. :)

While you are waiting for Cathe to reply, I thought I would give my opinion. :) I think you would do well with high repetition weights workouts, such as Power Hour (lots of fun!) or Muscle Endurance. Check out the descriptions of the DVDs. Also, circuit training (combination of light weights and cardio) such as Circuit Max or the High Step workouts.

I would avoid heavy weights such as Pure Strengh, Slow & Heavy, Gym Style, as these may make your muscles bigger.

For cardio, a variety of types may be best for you if you gain muscle easily. For example, I have found that concentrating too much on step workouts has increased the size of my quads (front of thighs) and I should probably do more kick box and running to balance out my hamstrings (backs of thighs).

Some people here have talked about a method where you use weights most days of the week in order to break down the muscles, thereby making them smaller. This actually means that you would be overtraining and I'm not sure how safe this is, so you may want to do some research.

It would help if you gave some more info such as your fitness level and experience of exercise. :)
