a few questions about MIS

Hi Cathe,
First, I have to say, I've been notified my Hardcore series is on its way -- I can't wait!
I was doing MIS today (which I really love doing), and I have a few questions that I've wondered about with regard to MIS and other weight workouts.
1) I can do heavier weight on plie squats if I put the bar behind my back rather than in the front grip. What is the difference, in terms of training results, between the two grips? Am I better off with heavier, behind the back, or lighter, underhand?
2) I noticed you offer two dead lift poses -- legs close together and legs farther apart. Which is more intense? I can do legs close together, is this a better option?
3) I prefer to use padded body bars to a barbell and plates. I have a 16, 24, and 30 lb body bar, and these cover all my weight needs (or I should say abilities!). What are the training result differences between using body bars (which distribute the weight evenly) and barbells?
Thanks for your workouts, I've gotten great results from them. I love the variety, it keeps me motivated and challenged. Carol
