7-19 Update from Coordinators

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend, eating clean (well, clean-ish if you're like me ;)) and working hard to get ready for our RT, now just TWO WEEKS away! :D

We wanted to confirm an agenda change. Cathe has definitely decided to move the Pajamas Nightcap Stretch class from Saturday night back to Friday night.

This scheduling change does NOT change what you need to pack for your trip to New Jersey, but it DOES change what you need to bring to the gym on Friday.


So, for your convenience, we've put together the
following revised list of what you need to bring in your gym bag for Friday's Meet & Greet Party:

  • Your signed Release and Waiver form (available for download at the RT webpage
  • Pre-packed “Bring to Cathe’s Club” toiletries kit (small travel size body wash, shampoo, conditioner, volumizer, hair spray, etc. – whatever you think you’d use -- in a big Ziploc baggie)
  • An empty large Ziploc bag for your used Friday afternoon workout clothes
  • Hairbrush & comb, hair clips or bands, etc.
  • Hair dryer (optional)
  • Your wallet (remember that there will be Cathe clothing, Fitness by Cathe products and, of course, Cathe DVDs for sale!)
  • Your camera and/or video camera
  • Anything you're bringing for Cathe or crew members to autograph (e.g., DVD covers, VHS covers, Cathe Calendar, pictures)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Hand towel, and a bath towel(s) if you plan to shower at the gym
  • Baby wipes for “poor man’s shower” at the gym (optional but very handy)
  • Quarters for the coin-operated lockers at Cathe’s gym (see the downloadable "Use of Cathe's Gym" document on the RT webpage for more details)
  • Shower cap (optional)
  • Flip flops for the shower (optional)
  • A resistance band (We say this because Cathe hasn't decided yet which format she'll toss at us for the first class, and you may or may not need a band for class. Please try to bring your own, because the gym has a limited supply available for us to borrow.)
  • Workout outfit and athletic shoes -- bring them or wear them -- for your first Cathe Class (which, as y'all know, will take place late Friday afternoon right after you complete the registration process).
  • Your choice of outfit and soft-soled shoes only (please, NO hard-soled shoes ever in Cathe's gym!) to change into for Friday's buffet dinner. For this outfit, we recommend bringing super-comfortable things that you can leave on for our Fitness Relay Race which we'll hold mid-evening. For example, you might wear a tee-shirt and comfy capris, sweatpants or track pants, and sneakers.
  • Jammies (with some kind of shorts or pants -- nightshirts won't work! ;)) OR yoga clothes to change into for the Pajamas Nightcap Stretch class (which will close out our evening). You can leave your jammies on for your bus ride back to the hotels!
Tomorrow morning we will put an amended packing list reflecting this agenda change on the RT webpage, for those of you who haven't downloaded that yet. For those of you who have already printed that list and don't want to reprint, we recommend that you print this post and use it to make some handwritten changes to your What to Bring list.

We will also be posting the final version of the 2009 RT Agenda on our RT webpage in the next few days, and we'll alert you that it's there for you to download if you like.
